We've not stayed here for a couple of year's or more, but I'm glad we came back as it's still great. The welcome is always nice and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. Our room was lovely and breakfast was included during our stay here for 1 week...overall a very enjoyable stay.

Arrived for a two night stay after a tiring journey from the UK and a relatively straightforward cab ride from the airport. The location of this hotel on Ocean Avenue is excellent and we found it within easy walking distance of what we wanted to see in Santa Monica and Venice Beach as well. The hotel itself does have character,... More

Stayed here one night. Location of the hotel is amazing. Minutes walk to the pier and 3rd street shopping. Sunset views from our room were also very nice. I found the room nicely kept up, even with the age of the hotel. Bathroom was crisp, clean and modern touches. Beds were excellent. Electronics in the room were good as well.... More

Hotel was alright, nothing special but also no complaints. Booked via Expedia on a secret hotel deal so for what we paid it was a good deal. Location is excellent and rooms were clean and with a nice decor. Only 1 lift as it's an old building. Messed up our booking when we arrived but quickly resolved. Staff weren't overly... More

We were welcomed warmly as it was our anniversary. We often find when we book through Hotels.com we get downgraded but this didn't happen here, we were given the requested ocean view room. Room was small as I guess can be expected for age of hotel. It was clean but smelt a little musty. The view was to die for.... More

A very friendly and quirky hotel with plenty of character. We spent 3 nights here and found the rooms to be clean, quiet well equipped and comfortable. Positioned on the sea front and close to a wide choice of attractions and restaurants. The best option for a bit of character. Some may see character as dated but this place is... More

The Georgian is a lovely building with some nice features. However the elevators need total replacement. You can wait 10 minutes for the only one currently working to arrive. Great location and very good breakfast

Beautiful hotel - art deco not cookie cutter chain. Great location - walk to everything you need including new subway extension which takes you right into LA. Friendly accommodating staff - everyone from valet, to waitstaff to front desk. Breakfast on the front porch is a great way to start your day.

Our stay at the beautiful Georgian was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Having breakfast or drinks on the front porch was very relaxing while watching the ocean and park across the street. The location is perfect for walking anywhere in Santa Monica and great getaway after venturing into L.A. We plan to return next year.

Lovely hotel, great location but very expensive for what you get. We know that the hotels on Santa Monica front are pricey but expected more for so much money. Plus points - location was perfect, valet parking was really helpful and the room was nice. The hotel is naturally less modern than others but had a nice charm. You don't... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
