The hotel is a little rough around the edges but so is the neighborhood. Room was quite worn. Missing iron, hairdryer didn't work, no light panel over fluorescent tube, & broken latch for door. Paper thin walls and the mattress died years ago. One of the perimeter doors was always propped open, so safety is iffy. On the plus side the staff was friendly and it's a ten minute straight shot to downtown Santa Rosa.
First they are dog friendly which is a plus. Bad they put all the dogs on the first floor so if makes walking down the hall challenging. Rooms are carpeted and our room smelled like dog urine but it was tolerable. They did offer tea and coffee service although we did not use them. Out of all the staff we saw only 2 were friendly - overnight staff were rude like they didn't want to be there. We had a credit card snafu but it was resolved in a couple of days. Rooms were comfortable, beds ok (my comforter had holes in it) but over all it was a decent stay
(1) Handicapped room is maximum distance possible fro the lobby and from handicapped parking. (2) Wifi did not work in the handicapped room. (3) Staff was indifferent and not helpful. When I asked why the handicapped room was so far from the lobby, the clerk said "I didn't design the building." Did not apologize or offer to pass on my comments. Piece of food (not anything I had with me) under the coffee table in my room when I occupied it - clearly the staff did not clean properly. Will not stay again and will recommend AGAINST this hotel and any other Quality Inn based on this unsatisfactory experience.
Stayed 1 night in a queen suite. Room was large, well appointed and we had no issues. Be aware that there is no elevator to 2nd floor. Hotel staff seemed indifferent and breakfast was ok. Decent location but minimal exercise room.
The hotel is an older hotel. It’s could use some updating. I expected a little better for the price I had to pay. Don’t get me wrong the rooms were clean and the bathroom clean. I just expected better. The only complaint I have is that you could hear the people talking in the next room pretty clear. Thank goodness they didn’t talk real late into the night.
