This was our second stay. Prior to arriving I ordered the dog package and cheese and wine package. I had confirmed that these would be in the room when I checked in. We had to request them as they were not. The dog didn’t get any treats and I got the wrong wine. We paid for a bed and breakfast...

Cavallo Point is not a property that I will revisit. The location is beautiful and the historic old buildings well maintained. However, not facility can compensate for service. Due to a workers strike, the advertised free shuttle service to San Francisco and Sausalito was cancelled. I was told "just take an Uber" without any offer of a credit to my...

Dear TXPeach, Please forgive me for your recent experience at Cavallo Point Lodge. What occurred on Thursday, February 16 was a national immigration movement called 'A Day Without Immigrants'. This was a social media arranged event, unfortunately, we had less than 24 hours notice and were uncertain of how many employees would be involved. It turned out that more employees...

We usually book last minute hotels when picking up wines from Napa Valley. Since President's Day weekend usually falls on our anniversary weekend, finding a nice place to stay can be very challenging. Somehow we found Cavallo Point that very, very last minute. We saw pictures and read reviews, but coming here exceeded all of those already great expectations! We...

We stayed here in August 2015 and 2016. The first time with our teenage sons. They really enjoyed having a separate room in the traditional remodeled rooms. We woke up one morning to Ferrari's lining the drive. My 16 year old son was in heaven! They were getting ready for some sort of race I suppose. A big bonus to...

Cavallo Point is idea for a getaway or a business conference. The grounds - a collection of Coast Guard barracks akin to San Francisco's Presidio - have numerous buildings converted into unique hotel rooms, conference rooms, spas, eateries, and more. Nestled at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge, most rooms offer idyllic views of the bridge and bay. The...

The Cavallo is an upscale hotel, under the Golden Gate, with converted Army barracks. The cottages are spacious and nicely decorated, but lack just a bit of soul and charm. We stayed in one of the old cottages, complete with oversized bathroom( displaying disturbing art work), king size bed and living room with fireplace. Breakfast was served on our veranda,...

I loved this place, and the view of the Golden Gate bridge was phenomenal! There are two areas to stay in. The modern hotel and the converted barracks. Luck was on my side and I got to stay in the historic barracks. I heard it was haunted but am happy to report that I didn't see anything. The bathrooms had...

Had brunch with friends on New Years Eve. The food was amazing, we chose to eat outside where it was a bit chilly, but they provide lap blankets for you so it was perfect while we looked at the amazing view of the Golden Gate bridge. It was remarkably affordable considering the posh surroundings and location. I would highly recommend!
