Very nice experience here. My girlfriend and I checked in around 3:30 and were greeted by Joanna and were informed and shown our booked room, but told there was a vacancy in two upgraded rooms just up the stairs from main house we chose the sequoia room with a spa tub and fireplace, very nice. My girlfriend was able to...

Your first B&B experience and hopefully not your last. A B&B offers a most unique getaway experience offering personal service, attention to detail, scrumptious food and a backdrop to meeting other guests and perhaps making long lasting friends. We hope you make it back to Shaver Lake one day.

Such a beautiful room!! Wanted for nothing, and the Jacuzzi tub was fantastic. Just the right place to have a peaceful, and tranquil vacation with your sweetheart! Highly recommend it. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever had at a B&B. Breakfast was delicious, and the location very central for accessing all that Shaver Lake has to offer.

I'm currently 30 and my girlfriend is 26, and we thought that the Elliott House BnB provided a calm and tranquil environment. We stayed in the Ponderosa room at the beginning of March 2015 for two nights, and we found not wanting of anything. To be clear, the room was the smallest room probably about 120-150 sq ft, but we...

Relaxation can be a rare luxury these days. We are happy you could relax and unplug at our B&B! The Ponderosa Suite is our coziest suite, as we like to call it. It may be small but it is also warm and inviting, like all of the suites in the main house, built over 60 years ago. We have designed...

Were spending the weekend snowboarding at China Peak and decided to stay at the Elliott House. We read about them on TripAdvisor and they had rave reviews. Walking into this establishment, i understand why! We were warmly greeted by Greg Elliott, the owner of Elliott House. Such a nice guy and you can tell he loves what he does. We...

We are very pleased that you had a wonderful and comfortable experience here at the Elliott House B&B. That is our #1 goal. We definitely look forward to your return visit. China Peak is a popular ski resort that offers some of the best services and ski runs without the crowds of other resorts. Don't forget summer is an excellent...

We chose this place because of the proximity to Yosemite but it ended up being a pleasant overnight stay. We arrived slightly after the scheduled time, but our keys were waiting on the door . The room was cosy and decorated in very good taste. Small details showed the care of the owners: iced water, cookies, candy. The breakfast was...

We spent a few days in Shaver Lake and indeed this place is not to be missed The rooms are spacious, warm and very well furnished, with a certain Touch D'Antan that you cannot fail appreciating. The owners are warm and friendly... ....last but not least, the breakfast is delicious. We will surely be back next year.

Great location - a charming B&B in a charming town in the Sierras. Easy access to Shaver Lake, trails, restaurants. The B&B itself was appropriately rustic, comfortable and quiet. Lovely garden, and deck, and the proprietors were warm, friendly and helpful. Would love to return.

I don't even know where to begin while guests at this comfortable and welcoming Bed & Breakfast. From the moment we arrived, Greg Elliott welcomed us and answered all of our questions without us even asking. My husband and I stayed in the Sugarpine suite and we both slept like babies both nights we were there. Their morning breakfasts are...

There was no A.C., the window had broken blinds, and the ceiling fan had only one setting. I don't like fans because I'm allergic to the dust and can't sleep with them on (this fan had 1/4-1/2 inch of dust laying on top). The room temperature was 82 degrees at 10:30pm. This is unacceptable for a $200 room. Even with...

In response to our July 19th, 2014 guest, we are sorry they were not satisfied with your suite and your stay. It is true that in Shaver Lake, located at 5,700 feet in the Sierra Nevada mountains, there is very little installed air conditioning in most rooms or cabins. During the summer months normal cool daytime temperatures are in the...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a trip around California and it was absolutely brilliant! Official Description (provided by the hotel)
All of our guest rooms are delightfully decorated, featuring luxurious feather beds and cozy sitting areas, designed to ensure comfort and relaxation. Throughout the B&B, charming collectibles are mixed with original watercolor paintings from local artists, fresh flowers and scented candles. The array of warm, vibrant colors and soft lighting complete the design details of the B&B, appealing to all of the senses. The original red and white Cape Cod style home, custom built 60 years ago, reflects that era of fine craftsmanship, found in the original oak floors, handset granite stone fireplace and the knotty pine throughout. Located in a new cottage behind the main house, the romantic Cedar and Sequoia Suites are an artistic design complement. ... more   less
