Mr. Elliot did a fantastic job at making sure the red carpet rolled out to welcome upon on arrival. One thing that you receive upon signing in is a glass of your favorite type of wine. However, Mr. Elliot doesn't just hand you the keys and point to the cabin--he takes the time out to provide a long-lost art called...

We wish to thank Mr. and Mrs Ewing for their kind remarks and 'thumbs up' review at our bed and breakfast. Mr. Ewing's comment that we 'take the time to provide customer service,' puts a big smile on our faces. From our first day in business to the present, we it was always our goal to provide personalized service to...

Initially we were disappointed as after a long drive to Shaver Lake we were informed Yosemite National Park entrance was about 3 hours away. If that is your main goal I suggest you find something nearer to the park entrance. But Elliot House turned out to be a lovely retreat in the mountains. It's quite a drive and Shaver Lake...

We appreciate the April 23rd, 2014 review of our bed and breakfast in Shaver Lake. Our guests were visitors from England and had planned out a very enjoyable vacation with stops in Northern California, down to Yosemite, and to our B&B. It should be noted that the South entrance to Yosemite from Shaver Lake is about 1 hour and 20...

We drove a couple of hundred miles before reaching Shaver Lake & found the B&B easily. Greg was v welcoming, showed us around the house, to our room & how to get to the onsite parking spaces. The room itself was really cosy, comfy, superbly decorated & clean! Breakfast & wi-fi are included in the price too! Breakfast itself consisted...

We at the Elliott House B&B in Shaver Lake are a little behind in responding to several Tripadvisor positive reviews on guests stays at our bed and breakfast. We are correcting our delay with a response to the September 27th, 2013 review. Opening in January 2000, our primary objective and promise was to insure that your stay would be memorable,...

My husband and I are not great fans of bed and breakfast. Staying at Elliott's changed our minds. It was a very different experience this time. Greg and Joanne were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was amazing .. we're on our first of 2 nights stay and can't wait for...

I can't put into words how wonderful and charming this place is. We stayed in The Ponderosa Suite in the main house and it was just beautiful, I was stunned when we were shown in. Greg and Joanne are wonderful hosts, when we arrived we were treated to complimentary wine and delicious appetisers in the wonderful outdoor area and given...

We stayed here for 2 nights in August. It was wonderful. It's a tough ride up to the town, but once you get there you will love it. Greg and Joanne were very friendly and the breakfast and the happy hour hors d'oeuvres were both delicious. We ate our breakfast outside among the pine trees and hummingbirds. Just what we...

This is the cutest place! The owners Greg and Joanne have turned it into a gem. The house is about 60 yrs old and when they bought it, it was a home. The have done a lot of work and it really shows. There are 3 rooms in the main house and two additional in a separate unit in the...

Comfortable setting, nice people, good breakfast. Someplace to stop between Yosemite and Sequioia National Parks. Parking was a bit awkward but worked out fine once we figured out (we arrived at night). Not much for sound insulation - squeaky floor boards above and laughing could be heard which could become annoying.

The b&b was adorable, clean for the most part but too noisy since its on the main road in Shaver. Our showers were a bit too cold for our comfort, we couldnt get the water to warm up enough to have a nice warm shower. The breakfasts made up for the rough noisy nights and tepid showers, delicious with a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
All of our guest rooms are delightfully decorated, featuring luxurious feather beds and cozy sitting areas, designed to ensure comfort and relaxation. Throughout the B&B, charming collectibles are mixed with original watercolor paintings from local artists, fresh flowers and scented candles. The array of warm, vibrant colors and soft lighting complete the design details of the B&B, appealing to all of the senses. The original red and white Cape Cod style home, custom built 60 years ago, reflects that era of fine craftsmanship, found in the original oak floors, handset granite stone fireplace and the knotty pine throughout. Located in a new cottage behind the main house, the romantic Cedar and Sequoia Suites are an artistic design complement. ... more   less
