I stayed here last month while touring Santa Barbara County wineries. I have frequented the area, and most of the hotels are a bit drab and run down, but this one is fresh, modern, and entirely comfortable! The restaurant and bar is great, and our stay included free continental breakfast--great coffee and amazing granola. The beds were super comfy, and...

I will definitely come back to The Landsby! Modern, chic and very comfortable. I wish I could have stayed longer. My room was in a quiet section but make sure you stay away from rooms above the bar...pretty noisy.

Planning our trip for my birthday, this was going to be my first time visiting Solvang. I'd done a good amount of research on the perfect hotel. Walking into The Landsby, I knew I got it right, it was absolutely amazing!! We we're welcomed when we walked in and acknowledge throughout our stay. Asked how things were with our suite...

We were traveling with a dog and this is a good choice. Solvang is pretty pet friendly including most of the nearby wineries Nice lobby and happy hour and restaurant. Complimentary continental breakfast is just muffins and cereal . As of May 2017 , the hotel is undergoing a lot of construction on the backside, so the quieter rooms on...

We stayed at the Landsby on a Trek Travel cycling Trip from April 10th-16th and it was an upsetting stay as the hotel is undergoing massive demolition. They call it construction but when your room shakes and you can't hear anything from 8am-5pm I call it demolition. Sleeping in was not an option and relaxing around the hotel in the...

Located in downtown Solvang, this hotel has free onsite parking, and is in an excellent spot when exploring the town by foot. Our room overlooking a courtyard was spacious, quiet and cosy. The included breakfast, although only continental, was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

I highly recommend this hotel it you want a luxury hotel while wine tasting in Santa Inez Valley. The hotel was recently renovated and the decor is fresh and lux. Also, the location is great with many wonderful restaurants and bars nearby. My wife and I look forward to returning later this year.

The Landsby is a lovely inn. Our King room looked beautiful, but there was a lack of some vital practical items. There was a shortage of conveniently located power outlets, sounds trivial, but it was a hassle, there were no outlets within reach of the bed, so our phones had to lay on the floor out of reach. In the...

This hotel is lovely, the decor, the toiletries in room, the little touches like fancy gowns and lavender pouches...lovely stay! The staff in the bar weren't friendly. The breakfast was sufficient (toast, granola, pastry) but bear in mind that cooked foods aren't included. Great shower, great bed, tv etc

Just 2.5 hours outside of Los Angeles, you will find the AMAZING and CHARMING town of Solvang. Within the town center, you will also find the superb Lansby hotel. Its so sweet and charming, you just might leave with a cavity. The food in the restaurant is insane and cannot be missed. The accommodations are nice and the quality of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Landsby, a 41-room boutique hotel, brings a unique hospitality offering to Solvang. Located in downtown Solvang, a small town in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley, the property combines a bright contemporary design with Scandinavian elements inspired by the town's Danish roots. The Landsby, which means "the village" in Danish, offers an authentic hospitality experience to both visitors and locals. Designed by Santa Monica-based design firm, Studio Collective, the hotel incorporates a Scandinavian lodge aesthetic with a design nod to the past. The welcoming lobby and bar have a lively atmosphere and makes for the perfect place to enjoy a craft cocktail or glass of locally-produced wine. The bright and welcoming guestrooms, including several junior suites and our signature tower suite, is finished with blonde woods, brushed brass fixtures, genuine leather accents and sophisticated, yet comfortable, handcrafted furnishings. The rooms feature whimsical artwork commissioned by a regional artist and thoughtful accessories, which work together to create a residential ambiance. All guests have access to the property's outdoor garden lounge. It provides an oasis for guests to relax and unwind among lush landscaping and romantically lit trees. Additionally, the property serves as an ideal retreat for meetings, with multiple meeting venues offering a total of 2980 square feet. The property also provides full-service amenities, catered meals from the restaurant, as well as access to courtyard and garden areas that can be used for breaks. Mad & Vin, the hotel's restaurant, is inspired by the local wine region of the California coast. The name of the restaurant, which translates to "food and wine" in Danish, continues to play off of the hotel's Scandinavian inspiration. Our Executive Chef creates dishes that captures flavors from around the world and incorporates them into foods native to the area. The restaurant offers dinner Tuesdays - Sundays days in addition to daily breakfast. Complimentary breakfast is included for all hotel guests. Located 35 miles northeast of Santa Barbara, The Landsby is centrally located in downtown Solvang and steps away from boutique shops, bakeries, art galleries, sidewalk cafes, wine-tasting rooms, and restaurants. ... more   less
