Arroyo Vista Inn is a delightful place that combines the warmth of a B&B with the amenities and style of a boutique hotel. Getting there is easy, with a door code to facilitate late arrivals, and while the neighborhood isn't exactly bustling, there's a coffee shop nearby and the metro train to Pasadena is a pleasant 10 minute walk away.... I had no idea I had booked myself in such a charming place when I got this booking through expedia. The building and setting are lovely, with wonderful verandas and patios that I used frequently. The breakfast is very good. Best of all, the other guests were all a delight to meet and talk to at breakfast. Most of the... More

This is a charming B&B literally nestled into the Arroyo hillside of one of LA's most charming suburban neighborhoods. The Craftsman-style home is beautifully appointed and very comfortable; staff very pleasant and lots of beautiful, sweeping vistas from the guest rooms. It's off of a relatively busy local street, but - one narrow, winding and rather steep driveway later -... More

Our family stayed here in September and had a very peaceful and wonderful stay. Both rooms we had were all very well-kept and climate-controlled which was terrific during a heat wave in the Los Angeles area. We slept very comfortably and soundly. The Inn is set up on a hill on a nice patch of land away from the street... More

The great: The Arroyo Vista is a lovely place. We found it to be clean, the room (the Oak Terrace), is spacious, has a nice big tub, and has great views and 2 balconies you can use/share. The front porch seating area is lovely too. The location makes it a good place to stay if you are going to be... More

Knansea, Thank you for staying with us and your kind review. We fully appreciate it. The Oak Terrace is one of our favorite rooms and has a great balcony. But you are right that it might have some noise from the train and the road. We have some rooms on the other side the house that are as exposed to... More

This charming B&B is a pleasant alternative to a big hotel in crowded LA. Housed in a historic Craftsman home with a lovely veranda that extends an immediate welcome, it’s perched high above the street, so traffic noise is minimal, and it’s close enough to the city to be convenient to downtown (it took us only about 30 minutes to... We spent two enjoyable nights at the Arroyo Vista Inn. We stayed in Room #1, but had a peek at a few other rooms, and they were all very nice. (10 rooms total) The chifferobe in our room should be anchored to the wall (this is in earthquake country, after all), but everything else was in good order. Furnishings are... More

Pros: Lovely sunset view through the trees in the evening. Great outdoor furniture to enjoy the sunset. Wine and cheese is put out and you are left to yourself, which to me is a huge plus. Guest would often congregate and get to know each other, but guests are left to themselves, which I like. Rooms are very nicely and... More

Loved the rooms, sitting area, outside patio for reading and sitting, and the breakfast was wonderful! Came for a girls weekend and really enjoyed going to old time Pasadena, going to the spa, shopping etc. This turn of the century craftsman is a fantastic place close by with great property, enough parking, but yet secluded enough for you to feel...
