We had a great stay, in town for a family event and some sightseeing. Our room (King w/study) was spotless and spacious. We liked the sink / vanity being separate from the toilet / tub and the barn door to close off the bath space....More
My husband and I stayed at this hotel the night before a flight from San Fran International Airport. We were lucky enough to get the LAST room at a price of $249.00. We had just checked 3 other hotel chains that were in the $380...More

The hotel was very nice and the location and shuttle to the airport was perfect. We were able to leave the car at the hotel while we traveled to the east coast. It was a perfect arrangement. Great Staff.

This is another reliable Hampton Inn property. It's clean and new-looking. My room had a lot to like. It was comfortable, clean, and bright with plenty of closet space. My only complaint is a common one, it seems - the bathroom sink is not in...More

A friend and I spent one night here on our way to Napa Valley.
The hotel itself is a regular Hampton. The airport shuttle runs on a more limited basis than other airport hotels so you may want to find out the schedule ahead of...More

First of all, let's be clear that this is Hampton Inn SFO North. It is in the Gateway business complex. There is a Hampton Inn SFO South that is near Milbrae. The North one is technically in South San Francisco but separated from the town area where things are by the freeway. I suppose one can walk over but I always drove while staying the the Gateway complex. The hotel runs shuttles to the airport but not sure about going to town.

I would ask the hotel if their shuttle can take you to the nearest BART station. There is one by the airport. BART can take you to different locations in the city including the marketplace building which is at the beginning if the wharfs. From there you can take the different forms of local transit. I personally rented a car. Toured the city and found reasonable parking near Chinatown as well as the wharf near Pier 33.
