They took us in late in the evening, gave us full run of this great place, gave us snacks, then BREAKFAST was fantastic and they even packed it to go so we could have snacks! John and Alvie are adorable and full of cool stories and info... they are so into the community and obviously love what they do... 5...

My experience at mountain top bed and breakfast was perfect. John and Alvie were amazing hosts. The place feels like home with no muss no fuss! Alvie made the most enormous breakfasts every morning and they were delicious! The B&B is perfectly located in the Sequoia Forest and around all the popular and hidden trails on the mountain. I would...

Wow, what a wonderful experience! John and Alvie Kracik should consider changing the name of Mountain Top Bed & Breakfast to Mountain Top "Home" because that is how they make you feel . . . at home. Upon our arrival, we were immediately greeted by a wagging tail on their dog, Sammy! (As any pet parent will attest, that is...

John followed our mapping for the wilderness hike planned for the next three days and kept all the info for his fire company just in case. Alvie went beyond the call of courtesy catching up with our vehicle some ten miles down the road to return a luggage bag. We would have hit the trailhead over an hour away and...

John and Alvie are kind and helpful hosts - they really know the local area! They gave us perfect directions to the Staff Tree and Nobe Young Falls. Trail of 100 Giants is just down the road. We enjoyed our weekend there!

John and Alvie, owners of the Mountain Top Bed and Breakfast were our hosts this summer for a vacation that included our family staying in their Bed and Breakfast for a weekend while we rented their adjacent cabin for six weeks. We also brought our horses and enjoyed trail riding among Giant Sequoias and into the Golden Trout Wilderness as...

My husband and I spent 4 days there for our 10 year anniversary and we absolutely loved it. We loved the place and the couple (Alvie and John) that owns it. Our car broke down on our way there and they immediately offered to lend us their jeep which we were using for a couple of days. Now who would...

I'll be honest: I almost gave Mountain Top 'just' four stars. Why? When we booked, we were offered two rooms: one with a bigger bed, or one with a smaller bed but with a view. We chose the latter, but were given the former. It turns out the room without the view doesn't have a window (or rather it does,...

Me and my girlfriend stayed at Mountain Top bed and breakfast for a night, and it was nothing short of wonderful. Very cozy and nice house, peaceful nature, and warmhearted people. I suggest you to stay here at least for a night and enjoy every moment.

As far as th trip to get there, don't go through LA; use the 395 and go up through Kernville. As far as the Mountaintop Bed & Breakfast, the place is fabulous! We were never made to feel for one moment that John and Alvie were running a business. They were warm and friendly; they put us at ease from...
