I just stayed here for the first time over my Bday weekend. We normally rent a house at Stinson but didn't plan ahead so we were fortunate enough to snag a "large cabin" in this adorable Inn. The large cabins were perfect for my family of 4 (me, my husband and two teenage girls) because the teenagers could close themselves... More

I have stayed at Sandpiper Lodge in Stinson Beach several times. The rooms are pleasant, clean and the staff are friendly. A week after my last stay I found my favorite down jacket was missing. Thought I might have left it at the Sandpiper so called them. The person I spoke to found it right away and promised to send it... More

We stayed at the Sandpiper for just one night. It was cozy! And warm. The studio cabin is very sweet. The queen bed is very comfortable. 3 of us shared a room and we were all happy. The location can't be beat! Check out The Siren Cafe right on the beach. It has the best view and fresh, good food.... More

Stinson beach is a odd place. That being said after two days I would not change a thing about it. Basically take all the glamor and size out of San Fransisco put it on a beach and you got stinson. The Sandpiper is the same. charming old hotel, somewhat overgrown with beautiful tropical plants. We started out in one of... More

What a great find! These cottages come fully equipped for guests - some even have kitchens. We had 6 in our group and sleeping accommodations were just perfect! The location is perfect with a nice restaurant and the beach within a 10 minute walk. The property also has a cute little garden space that is perfect for a picnic lunch... More

Ok, this place is definitely not fancy but it's a wonderful no frills motel close to the beach. The rooms are comfortable. There's a gas fireplace if you get cold. And there's a great coffee stand just down the street. And Stinson beach is just a shirt walk away

Good: Not many choices in this small community. Probably one of the better places to stay. Close to beach and dining which is limited. Convenient for hiking. Comfortable but dated rooms. In room DVDs with good movie selection. The bad: We stayed in the main building and you could hear people talking, coughing etc. in rooms next door. We could... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in mid-June and were impressed with this cute lodging option. We were disappointed at first to not be able to see the ocean from the hotel, but the walk is only about 2 min to the beach, just at the end of a dead end road and through the beach parking... More

The innkeepers are helpful and friendly. Parking is close to the rooms and the beach. The lodge rooms are clean and relaxing. Did not need to start the car once! Fantastic places to eat just steps away and a great garden to read a book in.

Stayed only one night, but was a delight to be in this very comfortable room. Soft pillows & bed & very quiet, with only the sounds of the waves in the background. Microwave, fridge, coffee/tea maker & lots of selections of tea/hot chocolate/coffee to choose from. Can borrow DVD's from the office as well as books & local guidebooks. A... More
