We just happened to be out on a drive along Lake Tahoe and found this place. We had a great lunch, great view on patio of lake and very good food. Worth a stop. One of our favorites on our vacation. Of course the beer...More
We do not go to the Sunnyside Restaurant for the food but to enjoy the view of the lake. It is truly a romantic setting. What a shame to waste these space on such ordinary food. For about $12 we got "heirloom tomatoes with burrata."...More

The beaches consist of a bit of sand into the rocks & the water is mostly VERY cold, as it is an alpine lake. Resort located right on the water with a dock for the boats use in summertime. Depending upon the time of year, you could easily need a full wet suit (winter!) or at least a vest/jacket other times of the year. This is not warm water....There are some nice beaches in the town of Tahoe City (Commons Beach) as well as beaches located at state parks, too.
