I've had my eye on this lodging venue for a long time and it exceeded my expectations. We stayed at the end of November and although the weather was cold, we were not. The house next to the tipis has a wood burning stove and we enjoyed that area in the evening. When we retired to our tipis, we took...

We stayed at Cynthia's whilst driving from Las Vegas to Death Valley. The location undoubtedly falls in the "off the beaten track" category! Cynthia's hospitality made for an interesting and memorable experience. She eagerly educated us on the history of the area and its boom-to-bust mining towns. There really isn't much to do after sunset, with activities ranging from staring...

This truly is one of the most unique and unusual places you, as an average American, will ever stay. A teepee with all the accoutrements is just part of the package...Cynthia herself is a wealth of knowledge for the area. Call her before you go - this area isn't just a drive-through place. Death Valley is truly amazing and "so...

4 of us stayed at Cynthia's 2 weeks ago. We on a trip which included time in LA and Vegas, so we were keen to get away from it all a few days in between and to be near enough to explore Death Valley. I felt so lucky that we found Cynthia's. We stayed in 2 of the Tipis (there...

Staying in a tipi in a hidden oasis in the middle of the desert is an unique and amazing experience. Stargazing, solitude and coyotes howling in the night. The real deal! Cynthia is there to welcome you and guide you through the canyon to reach the Oasis of date palms.See will make sure you are settled in. Tipi's are basic...

Recently my husband and I stayed 2 nights in the tipi. If one has never camped out doors than the tipi experience Would be good. We enjoyed the date farm, the 2 ladies whom work there gave us information regarding hiking the Armagosa. We also enjoyed the date goodies. If you stay in the tipi, pack some coffee as there...

Cynthia is a very opinionated person, and she most appreciates seclusion, especially from TV, cell phones, and all sorts of social media. Don't expect to find a TV in your room, if that bothers you, Cynthia will be happy to book you somewhere else. Surprisingly, she does have wifi in the rooms, at least ours. Don't try to stream video...

Stayed in a tipi for one night in Dec. The location was really amazing with the date farm and desert hiking trails right there. There are no longer fire pits in the tipis and since it was getting dark when we arrived we didn’t have time to gather wood for the outdoor firepit. It would have been nice if wood...

Overall, our stay wasn't bad, but there were 3 things that we were a bit annoyed with: 1. We had booked a 4-person private room for 2 nights, however, we lost two travellers before we arrived so it was just one friend and myself. We rang up Cynthia before arriving to let her know and she said it was fine...

First time in my life ... slept in a trailer! But what kind of trailer; it was really a luxury room inside a trailer with a big king bed (I would even say emperor bed ... the bed was hughe!) and decorated with a slight oriental touch. The owner Cynthia was very friendly and extremely helpful. She adviced us on...
