Why there are still hotels like this one? I only came here because it was late and two or three hotels in town were too expensive only to stay for the night. However, for example Best Western Mountain Inn was only ten dollars more expensive than this one. What a mistake. This was for sure the second worst accommodation in...

Looking for Route 66 charm inthe heart of downtown Tehachapi, we tried this place on the way back from a Grand Canyon hike. Just so happened the Giants were in a play-off game that night; too bad for us, tough luck on the TV selections--no game, few working channels, and in one of our two rooms no channels were visible....

Small room, dingy interior. Hair in the bathroom that wasn't ours. Most uncomfortable hotel/motel bed I've ever slept on. Plus, right next to the train tracks, so plan on being woken up frequently, if you can even sleep on the bed to begin with.

Really modest and totally outdated... A whole new experience for me and my friends! We stayed one night while passing through and just wanted to sleep overnight. The price wasn't way too much, at least I guess it was decent for that. Anyway, we were happy with clean beds and warm showers.

Loved this place! It's obviously not a luxury hotel; it's just an inexpensive motel. But it does have some charm, with the old sign out front and the pitched wood ceilings inside the rooms. Management was friendly and everything was clean and perfectly adequate. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because yes some things are dated or slightly shabby...

We stayed one night at the Santa Fe Motel, passing through town. It was basic. A room with 2 beds (one a single!) cost $70. The room itself was small. The beds were comfortable but the sheets were ill fitting. The TV was old style and small. The stations were very limited. Wifi was included and worked fine. There was...

I needed a clean place to sleep and shower. This satisfied my needs. Room was adequately clean. Yes, furnishing were worn, linens were as basic as you can get, but clean and functional was all I needed and that is all I got! As is common with these classic motels, rooms and beds are small, next to highway and railroad...

We stayed in Tehachapi on he way from San Fransisco to Vegas as an alternative to Bakersfield which did not look appealing. This motel is on the main boulevard near the small shops and local businesses so is within easy walking distance for meals etc. The staff were very friendly and the rooms very clean and comfortable with fridge and...

My shabby room smelled of disinfectant, plumbing fixtures were broken, there were approximately 4 sheets of single-ply toilet paper left, the bar of soap was microscopically small, and the TV was not responsive. The owner generously offered to rent me a bicycle for $5. Spend more for the Best Western and get a decent room, a spa, use of a...

It's just unbelievably bad. Dirty carpet, smoking room advertised as non-smoking.... I'm so glad I asked to see the room before actually paying for it. And it was $79 (!). Value for 2 double beds is something like $40. Stay away please. Best Western next door is just 20 dollars extra, super clean , has breakfast and miles ahead in...
