I've never written a review during a stay but just have to really acknowledge the great vibe of this place ( even during May mud season) and a really personable staff. The restaurant was quite terrific, tho a tad pricey for my taste. Really great experience, very Euro, but quite intimate.

I stayed at the CHSH for one night with my dog, Wynona. We had a king room in the rear building, a very quiet and calm location. The room amenities are very Euro, with Hans Grohe fixtures, dual down comforters and Egyptian cotton robes. The room was also well equipped for Wynona, with a bed, bowls and treats. The breakfast...

Great one night stay, wish we could have enjoyed more time at the Cedar House! You can tell that a lot of thought and appreciation for detail was put into this hotel. Everything was clean and modern. Super comfy linens and bed, flat screen tv, and open shower concept (big enough for 2!). We did not have enough time to...

This hotel was a nice European looking place to stay. It was conveniently located to Northshore, was very clean and had nice bedding. My husband is British, and thought the place was great! We stayed in a King suite, and we had a separate room for us, and the kids each had a bed in the living room. Was not...

There is nothing I found undesirable about this place. It's conveniently located to Northstar, Squaw and Alpine Meadows ski resorts. It has a family owned and operated feel that happens to have a great attention to detail and friendly service. I had to make a few phone calls prior to arriving to the hotel and most of the time I...

We recently got married at The Cedar House, and the experience was incredible. We'd stayed here a couple times before, so we already had fond memories. But having a wedding at a hotel really puts the service to the test. Not only was the staff up to the task, but they really put a gleaming polish on an already wonderful...

The Cedar House Sport Hotel is a convenient place to stay if you want to be near Truckee and NorthStar. The rooms are very comfortable with nice beds and your own duvet. Great pillows too! They serve a nice breakfast that comes with the room. Expresso cafes are extra but delicious. A very friendly staff awaits your arrival.

First time staying at The Cedar House but definitely won't be our last. Beautiful rustic modern architecture throughout the property. Perfectly appointed rooms with comfy beds, private porches, and spacious bathrooms. My wife and I were on a long ski weekend and took advantage of the stay two get a third night free promotion. The deal is valid all winter...

Love the Hotel and it's service, but steer clear of room 106 - it is positioned toward the street and is street level, allowing too much road noise for a good nights sleep. Overall, rooms are well appointed and service is great. In the end we felt the price ($275 pn) was not justified..

Third time here, and as always, perfect! Brought our dog (they are very pet friendly for well behaved pets). Very comfortable room, stocked with treats for the dog. Very comfortable bed, and amazing breakfast at Stella in the morning (not you typical hotel breakfast, this is serious breakfast!). Can't wait to return AGAIN!
