Fantastic service. All the staff were attentive, had time to chat, helpful.....Lovely touches like different teas, fresh milk and cafetière coffee in the rooms. Delicious food in the restaurant and lovely breakfasts. A really comfortable, friendly place - felt really at home. Only downside (although maybe not for everyone!) was the lack of mobile service in the village....so don't plan...

This old inn is situated in a very small, beautiful village. It lies next to the an old church and church yard, to which there is a lovely view from the terrace. Even though the building is old, it is recently refurbished - in a nice and tasteful way. The restaurant was stylish, rooms beautiful and bath room modern. Food...

The Fox and Hounds is a small Country Inn with dining and excellent accommodation. We booked for a weekend break and were thoroughly impressed throughout our stay. We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and a very comfortable double room with ensuite shower. The a la carte meals were excellent, but evening meals are not available on...

The Fox and Hounds takes a little finding after a long drive under the cover of darkness. Llancarfan is a small Welsh village situated on a single track road. It's worth the effort in finding though. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, the rooms are spotless, and the breakfast is excellent. The location (once found) is also perfect if...

A lovely pub located in a quiet village approximately 25 minutes from Cardiff, booked so we could see the Rugby International between Wales & Ireland. Made very welcome by the staff, room was okay with plenty of wardrobe space and a comfy bed, breakfast choice good and the Welsh breakfast very tasty. Only one downside was the price as the...

Absolutely perfect, from a warm welcome to a friendly goodbye the whole experience of the fox and hounds was wonderful. The a la carte dinner was exquisite as were the staff throughout our stay. We definitely intend to return.

Very good Sunday lunch with family & friends who live nearby. Lovely village with pub right next to historic church. Pub looks like it was recently refurbished. Staff very attentive. Beer (B&B I think?) good and great roast beef, served pink as it should be with lots of properly cooked veg. Potato purée particularly good. Would recommend.

Stayed saturday night with our dog and this was a welcome stay and very nice breakfast. The proprietor, his wife and daughter ran a very friendly service. Breakfast was a great welsh breakfast with traditional local meats. I left my ipad charger behind by accident and the proprietor very kindly posted it back to me - how brilliant is this?...

Lovely location, excellent accommodation with good quality rooms, facilities and excellent food at normal prices. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Comfy bed, and powerful shower. Was staying for work, but would have been nice to have some time to explore the village and surrounding area more.

Initially booked this place as it allowed us to bring out dog. Having said that, the place wasn't overrun with dogs and they are not allowed in the restaurant, only in the bar- I think this is a very good compromise. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The pub decor is traditional without being twee. Our room was...
