My niece had a wedding at the Grand Isle Mansion. Of course we needed a place to stay and the nearest (only) place to stay was the Ryde Hotel. My 12 year old daughter and I checked in and where IMMEDIATELY concerned. The hotel gave off a Shinning vibe from the start This was before we even got into our... More

This lovely establishment has fallen on hard times. The Sunday brunch used to be a step back in time to a classic atmosphere of a bygone era with lovely prepared and presented food and superior service. Not any more! Cold food that should be hot...where is the health inspector when ya need one yikes yikes yikes...limp green salads, pasta salads... More

Historical art deco hotel on the Delta waterway. Perfect location for our staff retreat. Daniel and his staff were friendly, helpful and took excellent care of us. Laid back atmosphere which I enjoyed. Food was delicious on both days - thanks Chef David. This hotel has a long and mysterious history which we enjoyed hearing about, including a speakeasy from... Went to this establishment to have a relaxing few days. Got to the hotel at 3 p.m. The Sunday brunch was still sitting out with dirty dishes all over the dining room and outside on the patio. Our room was not ready so we were asked to wait. Could not sit at a table outside because they were dirty. Once... More

First, I would like to say it wasn't a horrible experience, but changes have to be made before I would stay there again. It's a very unique place and full of history and with some work it could be amazing. The golf course hasn't been built yet, but you'd never know that by the info on line. It also says... More

We bought the New Year's Eve package which included dinner, dancing, a queen room, & brunch. When we arrived the hotel was freezing and the staff was trying to get the heater going, we were hungry and asked if we could order a small appetizer as we had a couple hours till dinner, we were told 'no'. The chef didn't... More

As a frequent California traveler, the Ryde Hotel has always been on my stay over list. The 2 things that always catches my eye, are the historical and paranormal aspects of a weekend stay. The Ryde Hotel had both. First off, the staff was very friendly and was excited to hear why I had chosen this place. With lots of... More

We booked Mother's Day Brunch for 9 of us, as we have been here in the past and were pleased with our meal and service. This time was a much different experience. It was a windy morning and upon arrival we were directed to our table outside, which was full of leaves and things that had fallen from the trees.... More

Rumors have circulated that the Ryde Hotel is haunted. I believe that it is. As we stopped by during a road trip, I went inside alone to look around while the others stayed in the car. The hotel seemed very empty. Not one person in sight, which I thought was odd - especially during the summer months. Nevertheless I was... More

First... To sum it up... Everything you have read is true! Let's get the bad out of the way.. Run down, misrepresented website (the golf course is now a field),over priced, TINY continental breakfast, don't drink the water. Now on to the cool stuff. The staff (new owners for about a year), cool architecture, location, trip back in time, spooky... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Perched like a jewel on the Sacramento River, the inviting, peach tone facade of The Ryde Hotel literally stops traffic. The Hotel entrance is through a dramatic front walk-way, covered by a long black and white striped awning. On either side are twin patios fitted out with umbrellas and iron furniture, for al fresco dining. The view sweeps up and down the river and it is apparent even from the road, that this charming Delta hideaway is truly something special. ... more   less
