At one time this was a certified Best Western hotel franchise, in the charming Trinity Mountain town of Weaverville, CA. It's about an hour west of Redding on State Highway Route 299. This has NOT been a Best Western property for many years. It's obvious to anyone who travels a lot and stays with the Best Western or any similar...

Now the Weaverville Victorian Inn. And it is surprising what can happen when a national franchise goes away. My luck has been better than average with BW - but this place appears to be slowly running down. Plus - soiled be covers, & the last customers dirty town and coffee left in the pot did little to impress.

After driving by it for several years while on business trips to the area we thought we would stay the night here instead of driving down the hill to Redding. The lobby is very quaint the way it is decorated with some pretty hats, little tables with lamps on them and a couple of chairs. The is also the area...

I was surprised to open this page and see the Weaverville Victorian Inn branded as Best Western as I saw no such branding and it was not on my Best Western Directory and is not listed as a California Best Western Hotel on the Best Western Website. It is certainly not up to Best Western standards and I imagine it...

I would not stay there again. Front desk were not helpful except 1. The free breakfast in the morning was bags of cereal, milk that was warm sitting out on the table. Never found bagel or bread to toast and when there was no coffee and asked for some to be made, was told no because they were closing it...

We had not stayed at this hotel in quite a few years, and after reading the reviews we were a little concerned but figured it was just for one night. We were pleasantly surprised when we were greeted by a warm staff. We arrived in the early afternoon, during a holiday weekend and the desk apologized that our room wasn't...

We spent 2 nights here, mainly because there are little other options and the pictures looked really nice online. Once we arrived (later in the evening) and checked in (not a very warm reception), we proceeded to our Jacuzzi room. VERY old and dated, with a distinct old aroma. The furniture is worn out, the Jacuzzi tub was not cleaned...

Spent several nights here, all in a fairly comfortable bed. Room had no odors, but had some wear (tile around jacuzzi tub, door dings, loose shower valve). The staff was very friendly and accomodating, which is greatly appreciated.

I'm not surprised that this is no longer a Best Western!! We didn't know where we were going to be so had not booked anywhere to stay. The Victorian Inn at Weaverville was the first place we came across that looked decent enough to try plus there didn't seem like there would be much option further along the road and...

Stayed for only a night and although I felt it was a bit pricey ($109)there are few choices in Weaverville. It is no longer a Best Western. I have stayed at the Trinity Inn and the 49er Gold Rush and I would rate this a lot better then the Trinity and just a tad above the 49er's larger rooms, not...

“IF YOU MUST STAY HERE, Downstairs, west side facing mountains. If you can make it 90 more minutes to the coast, Arcata and Eureka offer a multitude of hotel choices to suit anyone's budget. If heading the other way, Redding too offers some nicer accommodations.”
