Was told this was the "in-crowd" in the Hollywood district. Very chic and funky. Room was small, but cool vibe. Loved the rooftop area. Prices are steep here, more so than other hotels in the area, but I think a lot of what you are paying for is the "cool" vibe.

My sister and I stayed in LA for 6 days at the end of a big US/Mexico trip and we were not disappointed in finishing our trip at The Standard West Hollywood!!! After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we selected The Standard based on its great location and its value for money and The Standard delivered! As we were staying...

Dear bbriedis, Seems you had an amazing stay with us! All the things you enjoyed during your stint in Los Angeles: sightseeing, shopping, basking in the sun with food and drinks. You fit right into The Standard Culture. Guests like you remind us each day why we do what we do and how we do it~ We can’t wait for...

We stayed here with our 2-year old and enjoyed it overall. The first night our room was on the first floor of the courtyard facing the pool but with no real view. There was an outdoor speaker bolted on to our balcony, playing music loud enough that it was hard to take a nap. We asked to be moved, but...

The Standard on West Hollywood carries the same name as all the other Standar hotels (Miami & New york ) and yet it fails to disappoint. The rooms are barely furnished, the carpets are filthy (particularly in the corridors) The food in the bar was very mediocre... Why oh why this hotel even bears the same name as the others...?...

I much prefer this Standard location over any other. While the downstairs club scene on weekends can be a bit bogus and the seceney vibe a bit obnoxious, the location is killer and some of the rooms I've stayed in are very spacious and comfortable. I love the rooms that face southeast (not the pool) as youre a bit elevated...

The Standard is ok but nothing special and some things will annoy you. Decent-sized rooms, but no coffee/tea making facilities so prepare to pay $8 for room service tea (Starbucks across the road is handy). No safe in the room either, but you get a minibar. Very noisy in the evenings from the strip. No fitness/spa. Ok restaurant on site...

Dear Monika P, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am sorry you find the traffic noise on Sunset Blvd. unbearable. We offer rooms on the south side of the building which has a great view of Downtown Los Angeles and are located away from noise disturbance of Sunset Blvd. As you might be aware,...

I stayed at The Standard on a business trip. The hotel location was good and fair priced for West Hollywood. The place has a lively vibe and great to sit outside by the pool for a drink on a hot L.A. day. The mini bar is very well stocked. The rooms were pretty good but a little worn and the...

Am I that old fashioned to think that I am staying in a hotel to sleep? The Standard Hollywood has a nice restaurant and is a nice spot to have a drink next to the pool but it is one of the most terrible hotels I ever stayed. The worst is the noise, as there is no phonic insulation, nowhere....

Dear Monolakke, I am sorry that you did not enjoy your experience with us. We aim to exceed our guests’ expectation and regret we did not meet yours. We stayed at the Standard West Hollywood with our 7 year old daughter in November. The hotel is in a convenient location and the hotel has a pretty cool vibe. Dear Edward F. Thank you for your input regarding your experience with us. I am sorry that we did not live up to your expectation. I am staying at the Standard for the first (and last) time and although I reside in Europe (supposedly hedonistic and decadent Europe) I could not believe what I saw behind the reception desk. Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
