Yes we stayed in an actual part of the castle. It had two bedrooms, a sitting/living area with a kitchenette and a bathroom. We had a rental car so I'm not sure about other transportation to Florence.

Castillo is closer to Florence, you can rent a taxi for a reasonable price.

It took us about 4 hours to get to Montegufoni from the Rome airport once we were underway. We stayed in the room directly opposite the office which was large and which people who stayed in other rooms said was much better... More
