Clean, quiet, comfortable. Well maintained, including motel grounds. Mine was a last minute reservation on my way home from Death Valley. "Privately owned" sometimes gives a better experience. No breakfast included, which is a negative for me. The coffee provided was lousy. It barely passed as "coffee". Other than that everything was great, thank you!

After being sent down to fight the cedar fire we where able to book a room here. The price worth it. Clean rooms really nice bathroom mini fridge an coffee pot. If for some reason you need to park your semi there there's a stretch across the road. They have a few locations with rooms. Ours was the lakeshore motel....

Like a time warp. All was very chintzy, very clean but very 1950's. I had realised this from looking at the photos on their web site. It's not to my taste but if it is you'll love it. If it isn't it is still a excellent drop off spot to spend a night or two. Wash Bain is in the...

A quiet place with a comfortable bed, A/C that works great and a beautiful view. A microwave and refrigerator are provided also. The room was also very clean. The only thing missing is a swimming pool for those hot days. Staff is friendly and sent me my shoes that I left behind. They even called to let me know I forgot them....

We stayed there 1 night when driving from Death Valley to Sequoia Park. Nice staff, good wifi, clean room and bathroom, perfect for a quick stop but I could image staying there longer if I was on a budget. Nice lake and forest views.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Death Valley so unfortunately only stayed 1 night. It was a great hotel very nicely decorated and great amenities in the room. We arrived quite late and the member of the staff at reception was very friendly and chatty and we had a nice welcome. Only wish we could have stayed...

We stayed in a small cabin like room near the lake...dirty,dirty,dirty! We woke up to a million bugs in our room...in our bed, our food everywhere. We mentioned it to the maid and she stated a lot of places had been shut down because of the bug problem. WHY IS THIS PLACE STILL OPEN??? Btw, everything around closes about 8pm...

I spent three nights at the Barewood Inn in a clean and comfortable room. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. You are a five minute drive from the shops and restaurants of Kernville.

We went around and trough the mountains to get here, wonderful nature and trip. Great view from the hotel, wish I stayed more days here. The room was perfect, the owner really cares for his guests. Good Internet and parking spots. Nice restaurants in the bigger Kernville city in driving distance. Great rates, very relaxing stay!
