We stayed here for a week in September. The sites are very nice, the campground very clean. Office staff friendly and helpful. Bathrooms clean but showers are small. Wifi was very slow but considering we had no cell service we were happy to have wifi. Campfires were allowed provided they were in a fire pit that the campground provided to...

We just recently rented a 3 bedroom cabin at Vallecito Resort with friends. It was clean and serviceable with all linens and kitchen items. The ambiance is rustic. The front porch needed to be hosed down, and the refrigerator made a pretty noisy racket. Our oven was not working, but the staff had it going several hours after we reported...

My husband and I stayed here in June 2016 with our 3 young kids for 10 days. We didn't expect to find such a sweet community of seasonal campers. This park is a summer home to some of the loveliest folks you can meet. Many stay for the full season and we were able to meet several of them. They...

It seemed like "forever" to get here from Durango. Actually it is about 22 miles. The staff was very friendly. They took us directly to our site. The picnic table had been moved and they made sure we had a table. Cable TV was hit and miss, mostly miss. We asked for a good restaurant and they made a satisfactory...

Do not rent cabin #9. Although called pet friendly it is about 30' from a fast moving highway. Noise and more noise. Too much distractraction for calm dogs. Inside the cabin it is dangerous in the very tiny bathroom. Filthy. Ants everywherein the bathroom! The shower is made of plastic panels, not attached to wall. One panel not secured &...

First of all, it is true that everyone is very friendly and accommodating. While the location and setting is very beautiful, there are a lot of permanent seasonal trailer/cabins that are dated, run down and take away from the overall appearance of the park. Due to the tall trees Satellite reception is spotty at best if you want to watch...

This is our first visit to Vallecito Resort and the San Juan mountains. The full hook-up campsites vary from quite wooded to sunny. All sites have some trees. This is clearly a well cared-for RV and cabin resort for seasonal or short stays. The bathrooms are very clean as are the individual campsites. There is a hot tub, rec hall,...

We have made so many friends up there and continue to stay in touch with them. i have introduced several people to the park and they also signed up for a month. Dave the owner really tries to make things nice. The park...

Vallecito Resort is located in the tall pines just below the lake. Nice sites, plenty of shade. Friday night pizza is great! Dave and staff keep the park looking great and are very accommodating. For the previous reviewer that complained about the sewer smell: there are things that are sometimes beyond the control of the staff. As I understand it...

“Call and talk to someone on the staff, tell them what fits you the best. That's what we did and their suggestion was perfect. There is no pool, but there are a couple nice hot tubs and a nearby lake.”
