We were in Boulder just to explore for a night, and the Boulder International Youth Hostel was a great place to stay for the cheap price (I think it was around $28 for a private double room). You share bathrooms - the place is basically a dormitory, and it may actually have been at one time for the very nearby... More

The hostel has a nice living area w/ TV, computer, phone, piano, fireplace, etc. Staff were helpful. The location is excellent as far as being accessible to the rest of the city. The Greek houses surrounding the hostel meant loud late night partying every night of my stay that kept me awake. I stayed in a private room, which was quite... More

Boulder surprised me, as I thought it was a bigger city with easy to find lodging but lodging in Boulder is very expensive and select so I was glad I found the Boulder International Youth Hostel. It is located in a quiet college neighborhood that has a lot of students around, who are sometimes loud and obnoxious but it seemed... More

Well, Boulder was not exactly what I expected and neither was this hostel. However, the location is great - only blocks from downtown, the staff is mostly friendly, and the place is clean. There is partying until late in the night (this is a frat neighborhood) - so beware if you are a light sleeper. They charge $4.00 per day... More

Just what I expected. It's a hostel that's affordable, clean, and quiet. I stayed in a private room. It was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bathrooms were older and clean enough. The staff was very helpful. If you want a place that is cheap, clean, and in a great location... this is the place to stay.

I spent one night at the Boulder International Youth Hostel in June 2006. I had a pleasant experience there, and it certainly met my needs of clean, comfortable accommodations while passing through Boulder. I think I payed $19 for one night. The hostel room was clean and the communal bathroom (mens) was very clean. It was obvious that it had... More

The hostel is in a great area of Boulder, which is best seen in spring. The staff is extra friendly. They have dorm rooms which are pretty rundown, and last time I was in one of the communal bathrooms it was downright nasty, but they usually aren't too full. The hostel owns several houses in the area and rents out... More
