Rooms fabulous but that’s as far as it goes. No bar or restaurant Monday to Thursday (the exact days we stayed) no shuttle operating but happy to charge an extortionate $45 per day for parking. Receptionist on arrival Managed to check us in with probably no more than 10 words. Ski hire in hotel a total rip off $360 for 2 days skis and boots and could not give me a receipt. Breakfast on one day very expensive and poor quality with brown scrambled egg. Didn’t bother 2nd day. Would I return? NO I would go to the Bluff up the road for similar cost. Overall a shame as I trusted Hilton but was let down
This hotel is perfectly located at the base of Peak 8 in Breckenridge! The property is beautiful and sits at the base of the mountain and a short walk from Main Street! Our rooms were spacious though we were utterly surprised to learn that the hotel is not equipped with air-conditioning. Luckily they do provide room fans and the rooms do cool down once the sun goes down. The parking is easy and the property is very clean. This was a great place to stay during our first visit to Breckenridge!
Love coming to Breckinridge during the colder months of the year. I typically stay at The Doubletree @Breck. Rooms are spacious, the hotel is pet friendly and you can’t beat the location. The front desk agent, Nismo was very kind and accommodating to me and my family. We need to appreciate workers in this industry. Their jobs aren’t easy, considering each guest has different needs. Thank you Doubletree staff!
Was lied to about the parking price. Was called a liar when asked about it. No pool. TV in room did not work. Heaters in rooms did not work. Floors were filthy. Rooms stunk. Smelled like mold and cigarette smoke. Parking garage was over crowded. Beds hard and lumpy. Sheets not clean. Manager rude. Then to top it off I was overcharged. $30 more than my receipt reflects. No it wasn’t additional charges we made.
The website misrepresents this hotel. It is more of a 2star, not a resort. Dirty, under staffed, WAY over priced. Desperately needs renovated, even the elevators are shakey. Sorry we do NOT recommend.
First we had to pay extra for a parking spot of which there were none front fest staff was par night manager said day manager were apathetic and rude. I found a long black hair in my tub and the window had a missing door handle there were dirty linens in the hallway and the door near the hot tub was absolutely filthy. When a complained the said they could move us to another room at 10:00 pm after I had already settled in. The night manager offered to take money off the room but he was on his way out the door so nothing happened. The am manager said he could take my parking off that was the best he could do Which he he did not do. I’m attaching pictures to prove that I’m not lying. The hair was a long black hair I’m blond
DO NOT STAY HERE. I just got told "too bad" that the parking garage is full. Even though I've been here 3 days already and have paid for parking. They'll take tonight's parking off my bill they said ... but that doesn't help with where I'm supposed to park tonight, does it? The room is fine. But the public areas are worn far, far beyond what's acceptable. Night one: dog poo all down the hallway. Tonight: no parking... and I had to wait in line to talk to the desk about it because there was a long line of people complaining. Here's what I overheard before I got to the front of the line: No parking (everyone in line), overpowering weed smell in room, no bars on shower when that type of room was specifically reserved, loud dogs in room next door keeping people up ... shall I go on? And the front desk person? Zero help (or even concern). DO NOT STAY HERE.…
The hotel is big but layout is weird. The lobby area is very nice with a warm fireplace and seating areas. There is only one elevator per section and there is a wait. If your floor is higher up, there will be 2 elevators to take. 2 garage Parkings and elevator to the second garage was not working the day we left. We had to walk around to get to second garage. I see a lot of guests with big and small dogs in this hotel. The beds are comfortable, room is big, bathroom is small. There is a fridge but no freezer. No microwave in room. However, you can request one to bring up room. Disappointed since We Expect better since it is affiliated with Hilton.
A below average hotel for a Doubletree.. Very poorly laid out; having to take two separate elevators to get to my room and walk a fair amount between each of them. No food available in or near hotel with bar and hotel closed. In the morning there was no coffee on offer in lobby. Quite rundown overall and with a slightly sad vibe. The nice thing is that my room was very spacious and clean with a great view even though the bathroom was minuscule. Although the hotel was fine one expects better from a Doubletree and will probably avoid in the future.
The only thing this location has going for it is its location (near a ski lift) and ease of access to town. The hotel is not on standard for a DoubleTree, and very much in need of a remodel. I was on a high floor that required two elevators every time I needed to take my dog out. Nothing made sense with the layout, and it's unclear how Hilton has let this place go to ruin for as long as it has. The people were nice and doing the best they could, but stay elsewhere.
