Staying in 5305. Was notified prior to our stay that the big refrigerator did not work. Asked to be moved and then they said it would be replaced upon arrival? That did not happen. Once we got in, the unit looks ok on the surface but so many small issues broken window screens/cranks, busted dressers, ripped lamp shades, strange odor and the list goes on. Would not stay at this unit again if you paid me, nor the place overall due to bad customer service. Would give it zero stars if I could.
We stayed at Water House on Main in 2017, and it was based on that experience that we chose to stay there again in 2022. It has since been bought out by Vacasa, (management company) and is now called "Main Street Station by Vacasa". This was undoubtedly the worst lodging experience I have ever had, and we are still seeking a remedy from the company. We had family members staying in 4 units in various locations on the property and dealt with BEDBUGS, non functioning appliances, clogged sinks, faucet handles coming off in your hand, non functioning outlets, an outdated key card system that had you trapped in an elevator or parking garage or unable to get in to your room for days on end, completely clueless "staff", and management both local and nationally that actively ignore all calls and emails.…
Checked in at 3:00 pm and spent over an hour in broken elevator and were unable to reach our 3rd floor room from parking garage. Finally had my husband walk up 4 flights of stairs at 10,000 feet elevation to call elevator up so we can access our room with our luggage. Upon arrival to room, fridge was set to 77 degrees and hasn't cooled off at all in 2 hours so we have no ice or access to our food storage. It is now nearly 3.5 hours later and still have no elevator access or fridge. Front desk is trying to now move us to different unit that has elevator access and fridge. You do not get what you pay for/expect in this unit whatsoever. Total disappointment and we will be expected to be compensate when we are able to speak with manager when he is available on Tuesday
Great location, beautiful property. Family of six stayed in unit 5209. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and beautiful. It was stocked with games and lots of kitchen equipment including crock pots and pizza stone. The beds were excellent and the sofa and chairs appeared to be new. We were able to walk to restaurants and when we used the car, it was nice that it was warm in the garage. I highly recommend this unit.
Really nice place to stay in Breckenridge. The furnishings, appliances, and other amenities are exactly what you would expect. Caution for some skiers: It is more than a 10 minute walk to the the base lift. Very close to Breck village for easy walking to dinner or drinks.
Our family stayed in unit 5208 for 4 nights on a ski/snowboard trip. It was an amazing experience. The 2 BR unit was bigger than expected, very nicely decorated, extremely clean, comfortable beds, kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, right temperature, etc. The check in clerk at the main desk was friendly and efficient. Parking is easy. Short walk to lift and base facilities, a great brewery across the street and easy access to the whole strip. We did not need/want daily cleaning and there were enough towels and supplies for the whole stay. The main room TV took a little bit a fiddling, but no big deal. There are TVs in each room and tons of channels. We did not use the hot tubs or pool. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Waterhouse 5210 is run by summit vacation rentals. Most others are run by Wyndham. This is specific to SVR. The good - very nice condo, fairly new building - close to lifts but it is 400 steps to a lift (quicksilver ) which is a beginner lift, so you need to take that lift and another before you get to intermediate expert terrain. Can be a longer walk for kids but ski school is there and at least you don’t ride a shuttle. -can walk to town easy. Main town is 5 minutes. There are closer shops in a plaza. The bad. - 5210 didn’t provide any ski locker keys. Where then do you put skis? -summit vacation rentals is not convenient. You have to stop in town, park, and check in at their office and check out and return keys too. Easily adds 30 minutes or more after a long day of traveling. Why not lock boxes etc? - SVR is very strict about 4 pm checking in time. We were there at 3:15 and wouldn’t give us keys until 4. Not fun when you have a sick wife and small kid. It takes 30 min minimum to find the place, park, and unload. Really? You couldn’t give the key a little earlier? - as stated not ski in out which is really convenient for kids -parking while indoor could be tight.…
We had a party of 7 in two different units. Both were modern and reasonably well appointed and we all felt it was a good value. Our unit had a nice kitchen, living room with fireplace and 2 smallish master suites. We wanted something close to town and the lifts because we didn’t have a car, so this location was a good choice. There is a ski valet, so you don’t have to lug skis and boots back to your room. However, the lift was a bit of a walk from the valet. Not terrible, but would have been nice to be a little closer. There is a large hot tub outside of building 6, which was convenient for us. We didn’t use the pool or gym. There were a few frustrations including a malfunctioning elevator, lack of robes in our room, noise from the parking garage (on 1st floor), confusing room numbers, ski valet mix ups and somewhat mixed service.…
We rented a condo in Water House for a family wedding. The condo was very nice. The wedding was held at Main Street Station which is part of the complex. All was lovely and wonderful which was expected. What wasn’t expected was the fabulous front desk crew. Especially John (Jon?) who went so far out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. THAT is what really made this stay over the top!!
No complaints about the facility and the location. The two bedroom condo unit was very spacious and, unusually, had nine foot ceilings. That was a real treat. And you can easily walk to the bottom of a ski lift, even in ski boots. In addition, the numerous restaurants and shops of historic downtown Breckenridge are literally accessible across the street. I’ve docked a star though for a few reasons, including the extremely impersonal check in experience, the non-functioning hot tub in our building and the lack of daily room service...
