Important to know that this is a timeshare (or "vacation club" property), and management prioritizes owners. We stayed here in early January and were given what must be one of the worst rooms in the entire property, on the ground floor overlooking the driveway and the main road. At night, headlights from cars on the main road shine into the condo, and if your lucky, delivery trucks will idle in the driveway for an extended period of time. There's no way to know what kind of room you will get ahead of time. We paid A LOT of money, and this is the room we were stuck with because we are mere guests and not owners. I posted an initial review (with 3 stars), but felt the need to edit and repost, as well as include the response from the property management to that original review. The property's response to my initial review tells you all you need to know about the property: as a renter, you are second class to the owners. Unless you are a Hyatt Vacation Club owner, why stay here and subject yourself to second-class treatment? You're better off staying elsewhere in town, maybe in a condo on AirBnB where you know exactly what you will get. We also stayed at the Gravity Haus on this trip - that is an incredible property.....far exceeded the stay we had here. This may be a great property if you are an owner, but if not, there's no reason to pay a premium price and be shafted. Finally, in response to management (see their response to my original review at the bottom), its a gross understatement to suggest that our stay "fell short of exceeding expectations". It is more accurate to say the stay FELL FAR SHORT OF BASE LEVEL EXPECTATIONS. Management says they "hope [we] choose to return and visit again in the future". No, we will never return to this property - I'd rather spend my money somewhere where I'm valued and welcomed as a guest, and not explicitly told I'm not a priority. MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: The property is really nothing special. Rooms are a little dated (throw back to 1999), lighting in bedrooms and bathrooms is poor, and both toilet seats in our 2-bedroom are somewhat broken. Important to know: there are basically no services here. This is really just a condo building with the Hyatt name on it, with a “concierge” desk in the front hallway and a fitness center downstairs. There is no lobby, no common areas, and no onsite restaurant. Don’t expect hot cocoa or anything to welcome you back after a day on the slopes. Some websites show pictures of a lobby or common areas and an onsite restaurant, but those are most definitely not onsite at this property. It does have a relatively decent location where Main Street meets the ski hill, so lots of restaurants around, but none actually onsite, which may make a difference if you’re traveling with small kids and it’s 15 degrees out, like us. There’s a ski valet in the adjacent building, though they lost my wife’s skis this morning. There is also no housekeeping. Perhaps the biggest issue for us: we are paying big money to stay here……and we have a lovely ground floor room with a view of the driveway and the main road outside. Beware, not all rooms have the beautiful views over the pond and the mountains. You may pay just as much as the rooms with the nice views, yet be stuck looking at delivery trucks and emergency vehicles like us. MANAGEMENT'S RESPONSE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: Nelson, thank you for your review and feedback. We are a vacation ownership resort, so we are different than a traditional resort or hotel, and views are prioritized for our owners. We are sorry your stay fell short of exceeding expectations, but we hope you choose to return and visit again in the future. …
Stayed there this past Thursday night, 3/10/22. Used the jacuzzi, which was barely warm enough to call bath water warm. Forgot two pairs of wet surf trunks in bathroom when we checked out early Friday morning. Called afternoon of the check out day (Friday), to alert hotel and ask them to save for us. Hotel gave us some B.S. about them not being able to enter the room because new guests there, then said cleaning crew did not find the trunks, when they were clearly hanging from the shower, so how could the cleaning crew miss them? That means the cleaning crew probably threw them out as trash. Two expensive pair of surf trunks gone. I have never had an experience like that in any hotel ever. Any time I have ever left anything behind, the hotel has saved it in "lost and found". Normal. This really pisses me off for the amount we paid to be lied to like this. They offered nothing to help the situation. Our fault for forgetting our stuff, but, understand that you are on your own at this place, your stuff is at risk, and there is no support staff to help you resolve any small problem. On check out morning, I went to wrong parking floor, and when door closed, my hotel card key would not work to let me back to the elevator to go down a floor even though we had not checked out yet. I had to wait until luckily an employee showed up to let me into the elevator. There was nobody at the front desk to call and say "hey! let me in so I can get to my car!'. Stupid stuff for an expensive place. Room was ok. A bit small, but comfortable. Bathroom was huge.…
My wife and I stayed at this place and were very happy to have chosen the Hyatt Residence Club Main Station from all the other alternatives offered by Interval International. We highly commend Zack, Parker, and Dylan at the front desk, they were extremely professional, pleasant and helpful, our greatest compliments to them. Housekeeping was also great, congratulations!!!!!
We spent 4 nights here, and parking was quite easy and handy. We had beers and appetizers at the Quandary Grill on a rainy night and were able to return to our room without going outside. We had a 2 bedroom villa, with a very nice deck facing West toward the ski mountain. There were only two chairs on the deck, so our friends brought camp chairs. The kitchen was well-equipped, and our friends were able to prepare a full meal one evening. The desk clerks were efficient, and did a nice job of greeting us each time we returned. Zack and the manager did a particularly good job. The 20th annual Breckenridge Art Show was located in Main Street Station, next to the Hyatt, during our stay.
We have stayed at numerous Hyatt residence club properties. This is the first one where I didn’t really feel welcomed…this time by the 2 guys up front, one in particular. He acted almost put out when we had questions, etc, and was very snarky. Also, a HUGE negative is all the noise across the street late at night…like 3am late…people literally yelling, music thumping. Wasn’t bad early in the week, but Thursday and Friday it was ridiculous. Add in no A/C (summer), and you MUST open the windows for any cool air. I would imagine if your room was in the opposite side of the hotel, it wouldn’t be an issue. The full size refrigerator won’t have ice in it when you arrive, and apparently it’s up to you go turn that on. Seriously, Hyatt? Positives: location, free garage parking. Negatives: dude at the front desk, noise across the street, no ice in fridge, dark in the hallways.…
Hyatt Breckenridge is the worst maintained residence we have ever visited. We are owners in the Hyatt Residence and normally experience high quality lodging, which makes the run down condition of Breckenridge particularly disappointing. The following issues were never rectified nor would they provide another adequate room. Upon entering we experienced: -Smell of wet dog -Filthy carpet -Shower door does not close completely, which causes water to pool on the floor -Window casing slides out of it’s track -Broken blinds -Electrical hazard with broken lamp -Cracked floor tiles in master bath -Ultra low toilet in master bath. Ridiculous for anyone taller than 5’4 -In-room safe was inoperable -On a positive note, the kitchen had a garbage disposal. Oh but wait, sign plastered on wall states don’t use garbage disposal. The positive aspect of our stay was the employees. One individual stood out among all, his name was Zach. He tried every avenue to improve our experience. Zach truly understands customer service and in our opinion should be promoted to General Manager in order to give him the authority to make change happen. He is the consummate professional.…
We stayed one night as part of a short pandemic getaway. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the amenities which made for a very nice stay. Little touches like a humidifier and Dyson hot+cool fan added to our comfort. The location can’t be beat, with plenty of dining options available just steps away.
We are hyatt residence club owners we rented a 3 bedroom for Thanksgiving week. Its suppose to sleep 8 to 10 i believe but there is NO way. One king room had a murphy bed but there was so much other furniture crammed in you couldn't even fold the bed down, completely useless. Another king bedroom slept 2, 3rd bedroom tiny with 2 twin beds maybe 6 inches between them. We had 7 people and a baby, used sleeper sofa for one, we fit fine but I wouldn't recommend anymore than 7. No housekeeping due to covid, should probably provide a vacuum if no house keeping. Pillows terrible not hyatt quality at all, not even suitable for kids to sleep on they were so flat. Covid cleaning precautions??? One coffee maker still had coffee from the people who stayed before and don't move a chair, crumbs and bottle caps under them. Window in kitchen not functionalble wouldn't close all the way. Front desk staff rude, sorry we were there to ruin your day. Ended up with about a foot of snow. Must try pizza and wings from erics, anything from clints bakery its all amazing. Get a massage and facial from sol impressions while you're there!…
I love this Hyatt mainly due to they having a great 'GM'...General Manager! He runs a tight ship and I love returning here. However, due to covid19, many of the things I have come to enjoy at the Aspen Hyatt have been curtailed (e.g. valet services....cleaning services, front door bellmen drop bags at your door but will not enter the room and put them away for you (bedroom or living room), as in most of my stays. They have eliminated a lot of the flatware & dishes due to covid to minimize the cleaning...etc.). But a great place to stay.
Great place to stay in Breckenridge! Very walkable location! 3 bed, 3 bath with two kitchens and two fireplaces. Only hitch was that the remote batteries died on the 1st of Oct so we went down to the front desk to get more. Staff was reading a book and didn’t seem to know where there was more batteries. (But they were able to find them)! A little loud at times for traffic on street facing side. May do back side next time, but all in all a great trip! Very nice bathrooms, kitchen was well equipped, but whoever got the room cleaned must have put doubles in one kitchen and not broken them up, kept going back and forth to find things, not a huge deal since we had both. Love the location and the weather was perfect to leave the windows open. Humidifier were essential to keep my skin from drying out so nice to have them in every room and the bathrobes were a nice touch too! All in all a perfect restful stay!…
