This hostel cottage is amazing. The location, the staff is super cool. The day rate also. If I'm going in that area again I will for sure going back there! Nothing negative to say! I never was in a hostel like that before in my life

One must understand, this is a Hostel and you share a room with other people. You are just paying for the bunk and use of the facilities. That being said, this place is great. I have come here 8 times--as a solo traveler and with my 16 year old daughter as well. Now, this is Colorado and pot is legal,... More

Stayed in one of the private rooms and loved the experience. The receptionist was wonderful, offering us an adult beverage during check in! The location was within walking distance to town, although all "up hill" on the way back. It was just a comfortable place with a nice great room area with good view of the mountains. It was interesting... More

Friendly and helpful staff, super clean room and common areas. Nice breakfast spread. And the price! Are you kidding me? Best value by far. The Bivvi sets the bar very high. Thanks for a great experience. I will be back for sure!

We were planning on camping the night before our climb to Mt. Quandary Peak. However with it being the end of labor day weekend all of the camp sites were full. Additionally, there are very few dispersed camping sites near Mt. Quandary. So in a last min ditch of camping we found the Bivvi hostel. Now we had never stayed... More

If you scroll through the TripAdvisor ratings of the Bivouac (the Bivvi), you see that the vast majority are Excellent ratings. My wife and I travel frequently (both domestically and internationally), and the Bivvi is simply one of the best/nicest/warmest/friendliest places we have stayed. First, the location is wonderful. It's a very short walk from Main street, but yet is... More

Our room this year was nicer than last in that it didn't have a bunk above the queen so it wasn't as overshadowed with furniture. However, the wifi didn't work in the room consistently. The lighting is extremely minimal and the room very dark. And on the third morning, breakfast - supposed to be served until 9am - had run... More

The Bivvi was better than we could have imagined. The staff were extremely friendly, the other guests were fun to mingle with and the room was super comfortable and immaculate. The breakfast was delicious as well. The walk to town got easier as we acclimated to the elevation and when we did drive, parking was easy to find in town.

They advertise as a hostel but this is a five star lodge. The staff here is unbelievable. The people you meet while staying here makes it an experience not a stay. I own a hotel in the area as well and can only strive to meet the expectations that come with staying at the Bivvi Happy travels. You have to... More
