Beaver Run was a nice resort 20 years ago. Today, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Beaver Run is extremely overpriced for what you get. The heat in our "suite" was either on full blast or off, no adjusting. The sink in the bathroom leaked the entire week we were there... "maintenance" showed up our last day at 9:58pm and wanted to come in and work on it! Just 7 days late! The shower ran scalding hot water in the morning and would not adjust and in the evenings the water was ice cold. It was like our whole building was running on a 50 gallon home water heater. Last, but not least, they say they provide shuttles around town for guest and that the shuttle run every 15 minutes. WRONG! They have one shuttle for probably 3,000+ people staying at the 4 hotel buildings. Mainstreet is just a little too far to walk and shuttle waits of an hour or longer in 18 degree weather after dinner are not acceptable. Bottom line, stay somewhere else, there are better options.…
My family and I vacation at Beaver Run every year, we love it!!! We’ve never had an issue with any of the rooms and accommodations, we were even allowed to check in early which was a huge plus for us. Staff is helpful and friendly, too. One of the reasons we love it and continue to stay here is that no matter the weather, Beaver Run has plenty for the kids to do…awesome indoor/outdoor pool, plenty of hot tubs, arcade, indoor putt-putt, etc etc! Plus, it’s a quick walk to shops and restaurants! Lastly, it’s sooo nice they have a convenience store in case you forget anything or want to buy some small grocery items…cereal, soup, juice, soda, snacks, ice cream…you name it they probably have it. A+++++
No better on mountain location in all of Breckenridge. The only true ski in - ski out location on the mountain. Sure the hotel is a bit dated but the room was comfortable (Bld 4, floor 8) with stunning views. The amenities were second to none with huge indoor / out for heated pools. Sauna, Stratford room and numerous outdoor hot tubs with free towels. We would 100% stay here again if visiting Breck.
We loved it - it really is the perfect location, ski in/out but still only a 10 minute walk to town (or you can also call the hotel shuttle) We stayed in a Colorado suite which was a great size for us, 2 adults and 2 teens. It has a kitchenette which is convenient for making breakfast and maybe an easy dinner. The ski lockers are literally on the slope, next to the Beaver Run lift. We also enjoyed the pool and steam room - which were all very nice and well maintained. It’s older than the on mountain resorts on peak 7 & 8 but it’s all well maintained and the staff are all super helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
We have stayed at Beaver Run many times over the last 30 years and I’m sorry to say we wont be visiting again. Our last visit was 4 years ago when I left a one star review, and I’m sorry to say nothing has changed since then. It is really sad to see the property just sink further into disrepair when it is the best located premises in Breckenridge. On arrival we checked in to our 2 bedroom suite in building 4. The carpets were stained and filthy, there were no blinds or curtains in one of the bedrooms or the lounge, appliances were broken or dated, a wall light was hanging off in the bedroom, mouldy ceilings, etc etc the list is endless. I immediately contacted the front desk to express our dissatisfaction with the room and the response was that they didn’t have any other 2 bed accommodation to offer us so take it or leave it. They did send maintenance to try and resolve the curtain issue. They managed to rig up a pole but didn’t have any curtains to fit. They promised to come back and sort this out, but this didn’t happen in the remainder of our 6 day stay. Avoid.…
It's an excellent place for skiing, the mountain is great and the resort has the best location. Breckenridge is a very nice town. We had a great time skiing. The staff of the resort are very kind and helpful.
I jut got back from a family reunion Thanksgiving Vacation to Breckenridge for skiing. My family has stayed at the Beaver Run Resort many time in the past, maybe 12 or more time in the past 20 years. This time was by far the worst experience we have ever had. Room 8270 check in 11/24/22 check out 11/29/22 They checked us in early, noon, the only good part to this story. The 2 bedroom Condo in Building #4 is very dated. There are what appear to be cigarette burn holes in the couch and several of the dining chairs. The room in considered non smoking. It did not smell. 8th floor room with a terrific view, too bad you can not go out on the Balcony to take advantage of the great view. There was 2'' of solid ice on the balcony that was super slippery. I tried to break it up but it did not work. There is no covers on the 8th floor balconies, the ones below us did not have ice on them. The lock on the sliding door to the balcony does not work either, guess that is not important 8 floors up. One of the 4 angled windows was missing the its shade and eating breakfast as the sun came up was next to impossible as it was so bright at the table. There were 5 adults in this trip. My 27 year old Daughter and her Husband, they stayed in the Master Bed Room My Wife and I and our 23 year old Son stayed in the second bedroom. The beds in the second room are absolutely terrible, worn out. When two grown adults get into one they both roll to middle making sleeping nearly impossible. At nearly $475 per night when you add in taxes and fees I do not expect to get worn out beds My Daughter and her Husband did not complain about their bed in the master bed room. Maybe the owners have a newer one in there for when they stay and do not care about the other room. Or they expect kids to sleep in that room and they do not care. The outlet at the bottom of the stairs quit working the night before our fist day of skiing. Plugged our battery charger in for our heated boots into it before going to bed. Lights came on on and they started charging. In the morning got up no lights at all, outlet dead. Batteries did not charge, skied with non heated boots. No circuit breaker blown, tried lamp in socket and it did not work either. Charged boot batteries on a different outlet from then on with no problems. Brought the bed issue up to the front desk on day two. I was offered a new room, no one in our group wanted to move our stuff. I was given a $50 credit. Not worth the 5 terrible nights sleep the 3 of us got. My wife and I are planning another ski tip for this season to Breckenridge, the only place we have every stayed has been Beaver Run. If this is what the rooms are like now, I will look for a new place to stay.…
We stayed here for the Breckenridge Wine Classic and were pleasantly surprised by our accommodations. For an extra $8.00 per night, we upgraded from a hotel room to a studio. It may as well been a one bedroom suite. We had a living room with a kitchen and the bed was separated by an sliding door. We grabbed a late breakfast at their gift shop/buffet and it was quite good. They have a shuttle bus which is really easy to get by calling the front desk and telling them which stop you are at in town. The Breckenridge Wine Classic is on the grounds of the hotel and that was super convenient. A couple of cons: we stayed in building 4 and there is limited parking. You can park in the parking garage but it is a bit of a walk (using elevators and stairs) to get to building 4, and, the front desk needs some training in friendly-ness, Of two of the three encounters it seemed like we were annoying to them. Regardless, we'll be back next year.…
Stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath unit in building 4 and it was very comfortable. Queen bed with separate bath as you come into the unit to the right and an adjoining suite had a king bed and a bunk bed with a twin above and a double below. The master bath had a jetted, very deep tub and separate shower room with the toilet. Full kitchen with coffee maker and coffee supplied. I would recommend bringing your own miscellaneous food items including wine or liquor as the bar is very expensive. 28.00 for a house glass of wine and a Crown and Coke. Suite has a wood burning stove and they provided wood and matches/lighter with kindling. This suite could easily sleep 8-10 comfortably! Small balcony next to the hillside. I would stay here again!
We stayed for one night, and I’m glad it wasn’t more than that. First the good: great staff at check in and out, the lobby and all the general spaces are gorgeous. Location is beautiful. Pool looked amazing as it was indoor/outdoor. And now the bad: we had a studio in building 4, room 522. The shower was the best part of the room. The bed is memory foam and clearly remembers every single person that has slept in it. I couldn’t even last 10minutes in that bed. The “living room” was very much frat house, circa 1985. Completely banged up and uncomfortable. The couch was my alternate bed for the night and was only slightly better. For the cost of this one night, we’ll never do again!
