We did not stay in this hotel but visited the restaurant for a dinner, and the bar for a cocktail. It is a good looking luxurious hotel, but personally did not like the decoration and I found the lounge, restaurant and the room as very impersonal and a bit pompous. Staff was friendly but not heart-warming, but service was good...

Dear Tarana2013, Thank you for sharing your review with us after you had a meal with us last week. We wish you would have let us know you were unsatisfied with your dish to give us the opportunity to...

We recently stayed at Rio Celeste for three nights. Our family consisted of two adults, two teenagers and one 7 year old. We all had an amazing time at this resort. The staff was friendly and knew our names by the first day. Upon arrival we were greeted with cold towels and fruity drinks. Such a wonderful way to be...

We heard about this hotel from a friend who stayed there and loved it. We brought our two kids age 10 and 12 and we loved it!!!! It is absolutely gorgeous and lush. The property is unbelievably maintained and the decor is spectacular with all hand carved wood furniture. You can walk through their own private trail to the Rio...

Hideaway is a good name. This is a very private cottage setting in the lush rainforest. The food was good, breakfast great. We hiked in the park - yes muddy and a long walk but worth it. Used the pool a lot, swam in the Rio Celeste, did the on sight nature walk to the river and used the spa...

Dear davideamador54, We are very happy to hear you enjoyed “hiding away” with us. We constantly work on the menu at our Kantala restaurant and are happy to hear you enjoyed it. Breakfast is an especially important meal to provide energy for that unmissable hike inside the Volcan Tenorio National Park. A dip in our pools and Jacuzzis plus a...

From cabin #20 we could sit on our secluded back porch and listen to the river below. Because of the dense jungle we couldn't see it but it was a 20 minute walk down their private trail to a river swimming hole. Hotel pool/hot tubs and restaurant are steps away from this cabin. Large king size bed with both indoor...

Dear dunkirkal, How lovely to hear from you! Many guests such as yourselves love the proximity to the Rio Celeste River from their casitas. Once you have recovered from the potentially scary ride up some very narrow and slippy roads up to this hotel you can appreciate its loveliness. The rooms are huge and the balcony is great.
