Spent 3 days at Lone Duck. The owner and his staff were very helpful and always friendly. They offer a $5.00 breakfast every morning w free coffee. There's a lot to see and do near this came ground. Pikes Peak entrance just 10 min away. A very cool game room with old school pinball and video games. Requested a pull...

We first camped at Lone Duck four to five years ago. If you are fortunate enough to figure out how to find the driveway to the campgrounds (no signs indicating how to pull in) you will be greeted by a super steep entrance which leads down to the campgrounds (not large rig friendly). Our first impression back then holds true...

As a way to celebrate our high school graduation, myself and four friends drove from Minnesota to Colorado and camped at the lone duck for three nights. We loved it. The staff is friendly, the location is convenient (close to Colorado Springs, as well as a variety of white-water rafting companies), and it had every amenity we needed while camping....

the owner Steve is very helpful and friendly, made our stay very fun. pancake breakfast was great and fast. we had a site way in the back and it was very secluded, other campers very friendly. pool was nice for grandchildren and playground. live in colorado springs so this is close yet just far enough to be cooler and out...

The overall layout of the campground is very awkward and cramped. However, the hospitality from the camp hosts made up for it. Bathrooms could use a remodel, but they aren't disgusting. If I ever visit Colorado Springs again I would stay here.

I've listed pros and cons below, but basically, there are so many little campsites jammed into this park that it's cramped and noisy. CONS: Sites small and close together Cabins VERY tiny, bunks narrow, no trash bin or table, not well-lit, only 2 outlets Cabin 1 - kids walking right by windows, splashed by kids at pool while on porch,...

This is a family owned and run park. Apparently it's been operating for 50+ years but nothing looks nearly that old. It's well maintained. It has a trout pond, small playground, outdoor pool. It lives up to all the claims on the website. Yes, there is noise from the nearby highway but beats staying down in the mountain in Colorado...

The kids wanted to go camping. The Dad not so much. Mom got to take 4 city kids, under 15 camping. My days of hiking in and pitching a tent went away in my 30's. I wanted a place we could pull up, unload, and not worry about anything. That was Lone Duck. We rented one of the 5 cabins....

Owner was rude the minute we checked in and never was nice throughout our stay. Carpet and floor in the office/building where you check-in, eat, shower and play arcade games was so filthy and old it's unacceptable. The knobs and buttons on the games looked and felt like they have never been cleaned. After checking in we went to the...
