We Stayed at the Timber Lodge this past week and loved the cabin we stayed in. It was cozy, private and perfect for what we were looking for. If your looking for fancy, modern amenities DO NOT STAY HERE, it's not for you. if you want a relaxed low key environment that takes you back to childhood camping vacations in... More

We stayed one night at Timber Lodge while passing through town. The outside atmosphere is very nice and seems like it would be good for kids with a small playground and pool. The staff is very nice and accomodating. The cabins are somewhat off the road (compared to other places) so it made it feel a little more isolated. The... More

With 4 children, we didn't want to experience Colorado staying in a hotel. As some of the other reviews state, the cabins are dated. They are well maintained, and you can't beat the location! We really enjoyed Garden of the Gods and Red Rocks.

Spent a week here. It was just what we were looking for instead of a hotel atmosphere. Not a fancy place but cozy, comfy and clean. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are a 5star type then it isn't for you. If you want a bargain for family or couples stay this is a great place.There... More

My family spent 3 nights at Timber Lodge, the pictures online are not current. The cabin was dated to the 1950-60's era. Beds were not comfortable, WI-fi connection was poor. We seen several of the local homeless people pass by, not comfortable wen you travel with small children. The bathrooms were dated, one was the size of a RV bath.The... More

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay at the Timber Lodge- vintage cabins are not for everyone! We wish you would have shared your concerns while here, so that we could have made accommodations wherever possible for your comfort. Not sure how to address your concerns about the homeless people other than they were not on the Timber... More

Pleasantly surprised at how clean, very comfortable and well located this place was for an incredible price. Even had a second double bed tucked onto an alcove off the main room. Very near Manitou Springs/Old Colorado Springs. Only negative was no coffee maker in room and the carafe in office was empty at 8AM.

Coming up to the timber lodge I was wondering if GPS was wrong but sure enough there was the timber lodge, right behind a Mexican restaurant. The view on Sunday was a stream and a Mexican restaurant. Was really hoping for something much farther out, i guess i should have read the reviews more closely. Other than that everything was... More

This is such a beautiful place to stay! There's a creek right there and deer roaming the property. The cabins are quaint and clean. The staff is accommodating. The pool is clean. It's so peaceful, and yet right in the city. The front porch was feet from the creek and so peaceful! Great maid service!

We really enjoyed our stay at these unique cabins. Staff is VERY sweet and friendly. Grounds are well kept and pool was great! This is a older establishment so if you want new and fancy this is not for you. I love the mountain cabin feeling so these vintage cute clean cabins were perfect for us! A pretty river runs... More

As others have said this is a modest, nicely rustic, older motor lodge. It is clean and well maintained. What makes it special is the setting and the hospitality. It is set back from the street along a stream, the grounds are have nice spaces with lots of trees. The cabins and patios let you spread out and relax in... More
