As we began making plans for our third hike over to CB (from Aspen), I knew exactly where we wanted to stay - again. The Elk Mountain Lodge is a comfy respite after a days' activities - and a great homemade breakfast gets you off to a great start. Mike (owner) is helpful - and all the staff is eager...

Elk Mountain Lodge is the perfect location to take in all that Crested Butte has to offer. The staff are super friendly and accommodating and the accommodations are cozy and clean. The cruiser bikes parked outside are a great mode of transportation to all the local coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. Our family (including dog) had a great stay and...

We happened into the Elk Mountain Lodge and got the last room available. The young lady at the desk was very friendly and fun. We looked at the room first and decided it was just fine! Room 4...king bed and a nice bathroom. The hallways are dark and narrow but the rooms are bright and cheery. The bed was comfortable....

Elk Mountain Lodge is a very nice, comfortable Bed and Breakfast, located just 2 blocks from Main St., and downtown Crested Butte. The was very comfortable, great veiw from the 2nd floor window, and the breakfast was perfect. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area, and quick to answer questions. I would definitely stay there again!!!

A fun place to stay, nice to get out of commercial properties. The areas of Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte are beautiful. The rooms are on the small side, but clean and quiet. If you are a flatlander (like us Michiganders) stay on the 2nd or 1st floor. If you want a good cardio workout stay on the 3rd...not...

There were lots of things we liked about this place - the free wifi, bikes they let us use to go around town, ice available, the owner/manager was very available, and an awesome location in the heart of this pretty town. The parking is very limited (but we were lucky), the breakfast was a bit uninspired (although the granola was...

Plenty of comfort. Quiet, friendly, well-tended and well-suited decor. We biked downhill, hiked, swam, kayaked, biked uphill, fished and biked. We listened to local mountain-rock Coreshot on main street. We ate at all the best restaurants. Secret Stash, Slogars, Ryce, Maxwells, Teocali Tamale ... Each night we returned with that good-to-be-home feeling, walking the short 2 blocks from main street...

My wife and I enjoyed a great stay last week at Elk Mountain Lodge in Crested Butte. We love coming to Colorado, but had never stayed in that part of the state. The lodge was recommended by a business friend. We trusted in his suggestion and don't regret. An historic building two blocks from the main street. Loved the '60's...

Our expectations were high before we arrived due to the reviews here and elsewhere. My wife and I were not disappointed. In fact, I would venture to say that this may be one of the best Hotel/ B&B's we have ever experienced. The entire staff made us feel at home throughout our 4-night stay. It was like visiting relatives or...

Although our 3rd floor room was pretty tight with an awkward slanted beam you had to walk around, I would stay here again because of the outstanding view of Mt. Crested Butte. If possible, request a balcony room and you probably won't want to leave. They have a lovely breakfast room, but I would add they might want to work...
