My husband and I have spent over a week at the Elk Mountain Lodge. The owner and staff were fantastic! They were most accommodating and friendly. Excellent breakfast each morning and we never felt rushed. Our stay was relaxing, good location, great value and wonderful people!!! This was our second stay and we will return next year. Ron and Viki...

Wow! We bucked up a big drive to race at the Alley Loop in Crested Butte and arrived at the charming Elk Mountain Lodge in the wee hours of the morning. Not only were we greeting by plush beds, we awoke to a gourmet breakfast and espressos. The owner and staff went out of their way in every way to...

We have travelled to Crested Butte several times and decided to visit in Ocober to get an early dose of cold weather away from Texas. Knowing town would be basically deserted this time of year, waited until last minute to book. Everything was easily handled over the internet and a key was waiting for us at the front desk upon...

We visited this Inn in June. There was still snow on the ground. The very nice Innkeeper even upgraded our cozy room to one with a balcony. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views of Mt Crested Butte and the city below. A very nice simple breakfast was there to get us going in the morning....

Reserved just by reviews and it paid off. Was a Miner's hotel back in the day. Our room was excellent, well maintained and the breakfast was great. Easy walk to downtown for dining and drinking.

Our one night in Crested Butte was at the more expensive Elk Mountain Lodge. It is within walking distance of downtown and all the shops and restaurants. The room was very nicely decorated. I wish there had been a comfortable chair though. My major complaint is there are a lot of stairs and at a higher elevation, we were very...

A former miners' lodge, Elk Mountain has a great historic feel in a clean environment. Other pros: the neighborhood setting that was still in close proximity to the main street, the friendly and available staff (desk closes at 9 pm), the free cruiser bikes for use around town, free shared computer and wifi access, very clean and comfortable bedding, and...

This was our second visit to Mountain Lodge and it was wonderful. I wondered if 5 days would be too long of a visit, but I found myself wanting to stay another five. Erica, Mike and Tracey are super. They share their knowledge about the mountains and the town. No doubt, that they cater to outdoor enthusiast. Mountain bikes are...

The location is two walkable blocks from the historical downtown. Our room was perfectly adequate with the very slight complaint the toilet area was a bit cramped. The WiFi worked fine, and they have a commercial laundry for their own use the guests are welcome to use at $5/load which included soap and the washer plus dryer. There's an inside...
