Stayed one night here on our way home from the Durango area. The aspens were in full color in the valley. Very comfortable suite with great views of the valley and ski resort. Enjoyed the festival in the downtown area.

We spent a weekend at the Grand Lodge in connection with a trip to search for a possible condo to purchase in the area. At the time we booked the Grand Lodge was the #1 hotel in this area according to Trip Advisor. A month before we stayed at the #2 hotel in the same area. Although rankings can change...

I stayed at this property with my girlfriend for a long weekend of spring skiing. The location is great, a few hundred feet from the lifts, maybe a hundred feet from the free town shuttle bus. First the few potentially negative things: the place is generally clean, but there are signs of ware and tare, and it appears that some...

This place is GREAT - oh yeah, I forgot to mention the HUGE Hot Tub in my title too... They have a huge beautiful hot tub for Apres Ski! That's right, I'll say it twice... Great Price, Steps Away from Town Shuttle, Slope-side... Sure, there are a few things here and there that could be improved on but all and...

First off I think it is important to note that this is Crested Butte, not Vail or Aspen. I feel some of the comments on here are expecting way too much. Yes this is an older hotel, but it still looks very nice and appears it is well maintained. The location and convenience is great. You are a short walk...

The hotel shows some signs of wear and tear, so it could use some sprucing up. Regardless, it is a convenient location for hitting the slopes and the staff are friendly. We also appreciated the shuttle to town. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great.

If I owned this place, I would definitely renovate, and bring it up to modern standards. This is a great destination ski town, and places like this need world class lodging to bring in the big bucks. I guess I just wish it was more than just adequate, really there is no excuse.

This is not a typical resort type hotel. This is more like a back country resort hotel that if it had some money put into it and a nice face lift it could be descent. The rooms have old beds in them that sag and the curtains struggle to work. The rooms are small and not very functional with their...

Family_Johnny, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to the Grand Lodge. While beds throughout the hotel have been recently replaced, we will be checking the quality of beds as we enter our shoulder season and encouraging our homeowners to replace any that are not in excellent shape. I stayed here for a week. We were upgraded due to water streaming from the ceiling and a broken door. It is not ski in/ski out, but there are a couple of fixes to make it easier. We rented a large locker in the Treasurey building. I kept my ski boots, helmet and other ski stuff in it. It was...

travellustinggirl, Thank you for the recent review of your visit to the Grand Lodge. Please accept our sincerest apologies that your stay began with a leak and a broken door. It sounds like we addressed this quickly, but we regret that your visit began with this challenge. Thank you for your feedback regarding the quality of dinner at the WoodStone....

Nice room with King-size bed, separate suite w/sleeper sofa and small basic kitchenette (not a condo-type kitchen but works fine for buying groceries, or if you bring home left overs to re-heat). Lobby is small, and there is only one entrance to the entire hotel so people in ski boots with equipment come and go through the same door as...
