The rooms were nice, large, clean and had all the amenities. Staff was super friendly. Although, they were going through renovations, I did not experience any noise or inconvenience. Only bad this was all the tipping to drivers to a casino that has the same...More
There are not Hiltons or any chain hotels in the town. This hotel is clean and it was great having a shuttle to/from the casino. The coupon for meals and return visits was nice too..pool was clean. All of the furniture/electronics are outdated but, again,...More
Enquired about possible rooms and rates for a stay. Had to give credit information before information was given.Told it was not a booking and would need to confirm before it was booked. I did not confirm the room but they charged the card anyway.

If the scuttle is anything like the hotel, which was very unpleasant, I would expect that it would be poorly operated. We ended up leaving Gold King after seeing the condition of the room, pool and the arrival of gold miners with lots of beer for the evening. Better bet to stay downtown Midnight Rose was a fine hotel at a fair price. There is a city operated shuttle to most establishments.
Good morning; we were so discouraged with the condition of the hotel, we opted to stay downtown. So we never used the shuttle service. This place is an unmitigated disaster; check Trip Advisor for other options. Dan
