I recently had a scheduled company customer happy hour, and working with the staff was a breeze. Quincey had thoughtful responses, and as everyone leverages email so much for communication, it's taken for granted. However, Quincey made me feel like I was talking to her in person as we planned my production.

They have a lovely menu, a talented executive chef, the hotel and management team, Carlos, and the entire BG&C crew. Unfortunately, we had to move our event date due to inclement weather, and we still had a lovely turnout because everyone was raving about the bar and hotel experience.

They are very accommodating and think quickly on their feet. VIP problem solvers for sure, and they do it all behind the scenes to ensure my clients, partners, and customers have a great time! This is an important skill when leveraging their fantastic event spaces. They are all professional, and I look forward to working with them again!

If you haven't checked out their speakeasy, it's worth leveraging that venue for intimate gatherings, perfect for networking, drinks, and a good time.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in regarding service and amenities (especially at the moment!). Every staff member (valet, rooftop, etc. ) was friendly, eager to please, efficient and answered all of our questions no matter how small. Nothing was too much trouble, like printing my art museum tickets or asking for numerous coffee refills. Staff was proactive and during happy hour offered refills on drinks while we sat in the lobby before they put everything away. Front desk was often busy with most of the amenities moved there, but staff worked hard to take care of customers quickly while still engaging them in meaningful conversation. Appreciated how we were addressed often by name and they even remembered which drinks we liked from the night before!
Especially appreciated how they still have all of their amenities at this time, with just some adjustments in how they are provided (masking, hand washing and sanitizing, distancing when possible was well adhered to). Still provided coffee, pastries, happy hour, garden passes, gear garage to borrow bikes and hot tub unlike many hotels right.
Rooftop was phenomenal, with hot tub and pool overlooking the city and mountains. Plenty of space to spread out for distancing and had prompt service from the bar. Local Jones restaurant had great service, cool design and truly amazing vegetarian food. Worth the money!
Room was quiet, had super comfortable beds, quality linens (including the robes), had a powerful rain shower and great selection of tv channels. Found it odd that a bottle of lotion was provided, but you had to get shampoo and conditioner from the front desk. Bottled water in fridge provided in room, but did miss having an espresso machine to enjoy as soon as I got up, but understand they are trying different things to adjust during these times. Some wear and tear, but overall beautifully designed and decorated. One thing that needed done better however was housekeeping in the bedroom area-sock and gummy bear found under the bed as well as tons of dust and crumbs along the bed board edges. Bathroom was super clean.
Location was in a nice neighborhood with shopping, restaurattents, easy walking distance to the Cherry Creek trail, Botanical gardens, parks and residential areas for nice walking. Uber and public transit easily accessible as well.
Can't wait to come back and enjoy the luxury of this place again!

Booked the Halcyon for a small conference for all of our management team members to attend. We were able to socially distance effectively in the beautiful conference room on the second floor. I was blown away by the room itself and beautiful windows overlooking Columbine street. Coffee, juice and sparkling waters were always kept full and the room was immaculately maintained throughout our meetings. Mel was a wonderful contact throughout the meetings and made sure everything was going to plan. April our server was also very helpful and professional. We used Amp Champ ampchamp.com for our audio equipment and Dominic was extremely helpful and much more competitively priced than other companies we looked into.

For lunch we had sauteed broccolini, grilled chicken, creamy polenta, and salmon. Everyone raved about how wonderful and flavorful the lunch was and it was a great break from the meetings. Thank you Chef, and Mel for all your effort, orchestration, and execution. Your attention to detail was not unnoticed and we are so appreciative.

The rooms themselves were amazing, quiet, and extremely comfortable. Probably the best showers that I have ever experienced (huge over the head rainstyle). The Hotel is centrally located in the prime shopping area of Cherry Creek with a ton of great restaurants in the hotel and also in the surrounding area.

Thank you to Ben who helped us book the whole event and to Irvin for helping some of our managers check in early to avoid bad roads and the snowstorm.

Again everything was INCREDIBLE. Bonus note is that they have a heated pool and hot tub on the roof so make sure you bring a swimsuit.

Thank you again to all the Halycon staff, can't wait to staycation here with my wife soon!

The staff of this hotel is excellent. We were so pleased with everyone we came into contact with.
The room we stayed in was very disappointing, especially considering the high cost.
Our room as requested had two queen beds which were not as comfortable as one would expect in a very expensive, modern, “hip” hotel. We were expecting to have super great mattresses which was not the case. My back hurt every morning which never happens at home.
Second, the room furnishings were stark and minimalist. There were NO surfaces in the room on which to place items unpacked from our suitcases. We were there for 6 nights so this presented a problem. There were only two very small drawers. There were only a low, very narrow bench and a long, narrow, built-in couch. There was no dresser and no desk! I had nowhere I could work on my laptop except sitting on the bed. There was no chair of any kind in the room, neither a desk chair nor an easy chair. No where to sit and read, no where to watch TV except sitting on the beds. This all was very odd and a great inconvenience.
Toilet paper and tissues were sparsely supplied. We had to ask twice for a roll of toilet paper and another box of tissues. The quality of these paper products was terrible, abysmal!!! I have never stayed in a hotel where the toilet paper and tissues were so cheap, thin and scratchy.
But the most annoying feature of the room was a large, clear glass window between the bathroom and the room itself. The window is located above the shower. The window meant that in the middle of the night if one of us went to the bathroom, the light from the bathroom lit up the entire room where the other person was trying to sleep. It was awful, a really bad feature that should be modified in some way. I had to shower with only a night light (which I brought with me) so that the light from the bathroom would not keep my husband from falling asleep at night.
Crazy set up!! Very disappointing when dealing with these issues for 6 nights.
We come to Denver often so we thought we would try a new, different hotel. Next time in Denver, we will be back at our usual luxurious favorite, the JW !!!

Dear altheamhicks, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear you enjoyed the hospitality of our team. We are very sorry to discover that you did not find the design of our property conducive to your trip needs. We do offer a modern luxury style and attempt to provide as much space in the rooms for our guests to feel comfortable. We do have additional furniture/dressers available to suit these preferences and different room types /layouts. I am disappointed that we did not discover this prior to your departure to have made your stay more enjoyable. I would also like to apologize for not providing a sufficient amount of amenities in the room for you, and will share the importance of this to our team when conducting stayover service. We hope you'll give us an opportunity in the future, as we would love to invite you back and show you other room layouts and options that may be favorable to you and your traveling needs. My family wanted to meet for a short getaway after being in lockdown from the pandemic. We have gone to the Halcyon before and have always enjoyed the service so we thought we would be “safe”.
I was very impressed with the precautions the hotel took to make us feel secure about the aftermath of dealing with the virus.
The front desk ( Brittnee Coyne) was extremely helpful at easing any concerns we had. All the staff had masks on and we noticed people cleaning surfaces all the time. Our rooms were spotless, things like the coffee cups ( coffee maker were removed) and they even had a covering over the remote control.
Jason Arrington has done a very commendable job to deal with all the obstacles to get the hotel up and going again...... I highly recommend the Halcyon if your ever in the Denver area!

The staff were excellent and went above and beyond to assist guests. The Cherry Creek neighborhood is highly walkable with myriad restaurants and shopping nearby. The hotel is centrally located and convenient to downtown.

We stayed in a 350 ft room with a king bed. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. Due to the pandemic, there was not glassware in the room, but the staff did bring some upon request. There was a letter in the room that housekeeping was limited, but it appeared they did come in every day to freshen up.

Not all rooms have views. There is a very small interior atrium which some rooms face. That means the "view" is of a wall with limited natural light. Also, because the hotel is next to and across from other buildings, lower floors may have obstructed views. We were on the 6th floor of the of the hotel and had a view above rooftops looking to mountains in the far distance. I recommend asking for a room on the 6th floor or higher.

One of the reasons I chose the hotel was the rooftop pool. The pool was modest-sized (think lap pool) but pleasant for a dip to cool off. Poolside, there are about 20 loungers, three umbrellas, and some tables and chairs for 2. There are cabanas for rent: note that the cabanas have sofa sectional seating rather than loungers. If you don't have a cabana, you will want to arrive earlier in the morning on busy days to get a lounger.

One thing that I was not expecting is that as of early June, rooftop food and beverage service is only provided during limited hours. For example, on a Friday, service did not begin until 2 pm. We had hoped to have lunch service.

The Local Jones seemed extremely popular; unfortunately my one carryout lunch from there was underwhelming. I did not get a chance to try Quality Italian.

One place you should checkout is the hotel's hidden speakeasy. The drinks were fantastic!

The front desk happy hour from 3 to 6 and the complimentary coffees and pastries in the morning are a nice touch. They also provide chilled water.

We both would stay again.

We were excited to try out the #1 rated hotel in Denver. Wow - what a miss!

The hotel location and the physical building is all very nice. Can't complain about that. The room was quite comfortable. Visiting on business, we were horrified at the lack of service and manners by the front desk and staff. The only team member who was attentive and followed through was the doorman who did get us a car to the airport. We were relieved at least one person got it right.

The front desk was a team that performed as if they were doing us a favor and we should only be so lucky to be staying at the Halycon. Ridiculous! We did fill out the survey the company sent after our visit and even after communicating our experience, we were never contacted.

There is a $30.00 a day "resort fee" for which we cannot understand what we paid for. There were rarely any pastries available downstairs in the morning and was told all gone - by 8:30 in the morning. At least provide guests with a carafe of coffee if you cannot provide the Espresso machine that was promised.

HBO was "down" the entire length of our visit. When we called the front desk they told us it was a problem with HBO.

We called the front desk 4+ times over two days for clean towels which were never delivered and we finally communicated with a maid we searched for in the hallways to get some clean towels. Luckily she shared her stash!

There was a letter in the room saying all we had to do was request our Espresso maker for our room and glassware and it would be provided. NEVER HAPPENED after multiple requests. We finally gave up and had to go downstairs for each and every cup of coffee we wanted.

Room service was a mind blowing joke. The restaurants were open at the hotel yet our room service came in a paper bag with plastic utensils! Could not believe it. Food also was odd from Local Jones and we never ordered again from the hotel. There are other food options in the area that are convenient. FYI.

We are not sure where the "chip on the shoulder" attitude comes from but our advice would be for the Hotel chain and staff to lose it. For spending over $300 a night in Denver we expected the hotel to at least provide what they advertised.

We cannot recommend this hotel. Stay somewhere where your business is valued and the staff is educated in customer service. Pandemic or not, there is no excuse for rudeness.

My daughter and I did a weekend staycation at the Halcyon in Denver. We splurged and got the Presidential Suite at a very reduced rate due to low occupancy, as well as the closed amenities (COVID-19). Even with the discount, we still paid a premium for the room. Overall, we had a lovely weekend, enjoyed the room and the staff was excellent.

There are a couple of things that disappointed me.

First, because of the health restrictions, they removed the glassware from the room. We brought a nice bottle of wine and could only get plastic cups from the front desk. I would have brought my own if they had informed me of this when we booked by phone.

Second, the suite itself had some simple repair issues that maintenance has overlooked. Not a huge issue to me, but for the price paid for the room, I’d expect the room to be in good repair. As my daughter put it, “If a president came to stay in this presidential suite, would they be proud of the way it looks?”

We loved the gear garage! The records were spinning all weekend in our room, and the Polaroid was a great idea that gave us a nice souvenir of our weekend.

The area this hotel is in is five stars — not this hotel let alone four stars as they claim to be. My partner and I were consistently interrupted by the hotel’s house keeping team who would knock on our door (even with our do not disturb sign hanging outside) to see if they could clean or when we were leaving. We shared our grievances with the front desk staff several times but this still continued to happen. The room we had was very small with a gorgeous view of a cement wall which was said to be a “courtyard” view but consists of only rocks. This is not a true four star hotel. This is more of a three star hotel at best. We won’t be coming back.

Dear Jwatson1984, I would like to personally apologize for your recent experience. We typically do not disrupt Do Not Disturb signs until checkout time of 12pm or later. We do have some flexibility with the a late checkout up until 2pm, to which then we charge $50, 1/2 day rate up until 5pm, and a full night's stay beyond that. Sometimes we are not able to accommodate this on special rooms types, that we have a limited amount of and a guest that is arriving for or waiting for that particular room type. I would love to discuss your experience in greater detail so that I can better understand why we were unable to accommodate this request. The only thing I regret is that we didn’t stay longer! This hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is extremely accommodating and welcoming. We were created by a very friendly valet and welcomed into the lobby to check-in, it was like walking into a friends home! We were upgraded to the loft suite, which had an upstairs bedroom separate from the sitting room. The bathroom was so stylish and spacious, the shower had a waterfall shower head as well as the standard, but the large soaked tub was my favorite! I wish we would have had time to use some of the equipment in the gear garage but we were only in town for one night, I am also sad we weren’t able to make it up to the pool. This hotel has so many wonderful amenities we will be returning!
