The Maven is the only place I've stayed in, in Denver. It's always the best spot to be in for a young professional like me. I was there for my bachelor's party. I love the area! The shuttle service is amazing for when we just need to give our legs a rest from exploring the city.
This place was top notch. Top to bottom. Amazing rooms, the location is prime, and the market nearby is spectacular. You cannot beat it! I absolutely loved the fact that you can walk to anything you would need within a mile radius. I will most definitely be coming back here in the future!
We had the best time at The Maven -- the location is unmatched, the staff is incredible, and the rooms are updated/clean/quiet. The building having so many options for restaurants, coffee, shopping, etc. was awesome, and we loved the free happy hour each night in the lobby. If you valet with the hotel (which also is the cheapest option in the area), you get access to a car service within 2 miles of the hotel. We used this to go to dinner, and it definitely saved us money and hassle, as an Uber/Lyft would've been astronomical on the Saturday night of St. Patrick's Day weekend. The staff was super friendly and helpful with anything we needed, and we can't wait to come back!
We came for a wedding over Labor Day. At first, I was disappointed, because I thought it would be better to stay next to the train station. This turned out to be a far better choice. We walked from the station to the hotel with our roller bags, after taking the train from the airport. Uber might have been better because it was 90 and sunny, but in nice weather, no problem. Throughout, all the staff was very nice and helpful, including upgrading us to a suite, double checking on the availability of the courtesy car (Suburban) in the morning, and having very helpful suggestions on other items. Our room was just below the top floor. The bed and bathroom were great. I was surprised there was no mini fridge. The room overlooked Wazee Street. There was minimal noise on our high floor. We used the free courtesy car twice, to the art museum, and to brunch followed by buying the tie that I forgot to bring to the wedding. Both times we walked back for steps. Coffee at Huckleberry's was excellent. We would definitely come back. I will mention that my kids' rooms had some noise due to a nightclub on ground level, I think on the Dairy Block side. You may want to ask for a quiet room when booking, or mention it at check in. If there is a night baseball game there might be more noise, but there was no game when we stayed. If you are going to the game and want to spend the night, this is the perfect spot. Finally, there is an amenity charge, and I checked it out when I booked. I think it was a good value for me, and I FORGOT that there was a discount at the restaurant Kachina, and we ate there twice! …
Let's start with the staff. Everyone was super kind, hospitable, and helpful. Ben, the valet, made sure we were welcomed and took great care to drive us to all our destinations (the courtesy car is a bonus!) Vincent checked us in and was friendly. He made sure we knew all the options. The hotel is very artsy and modern with well appointed rooms. We had a Craftsman room with balcony. Best shower ever. Having the balcony to go outside and enjoy the weather was an extra treat. The Milk Market and Alley have lots of choices for eating and drinking. We are already planning our next stay!
My mom and I stayed at the Maven for a Mother/Daughter trip and we had such a wonderful time, with a huge thanks to the staff who took care of us. Everyone at the Front Desk was so helpful and Courtney gave us such great recommendations for food as well as took the time to let us know everything around the hotel itself. Ben, the shuttle driver, was so accommodating and helpful in getting us around the area. He helped give us great recommendations and gave us his number to call when we needed a return ride. It took him less than 10 minutes to pick us up when we called and the convenience was so helpful for us to not have to drive or pay for an Uber. All around a wonderful stay, and highly recommend checking out the hotel.
Traveling with a vehicle can be annoying. But the valet gentlemen made me comfortable to hand over the keys and go to my room worry free. Knowing your vehicle is safe is a great peace of mind to sleep better. Thanks again Chris
My room was outstanding. From the balcony I could see Coors stadium, and was in close proximity to public transit that made it easy to get to and from the convention center. The shower was awesome--single knob to control temperature, because the flow was steady and voluminous! The bed was on the soft side, just how I like it!
These two made our stay. They were absolutely delightful. We were waiting for our Doordash order, on our friend's birthday, and they talked to us for at least a half hour. They deserve as big a raise as possible. Absolutely delightful human beings.
The location and convenience of the food hall being connected to the hotel were the best parts. Everytime we tried to use the “complimentary” service car it was broken, not available or as the valet guy on Saturday night said yeah, i’m not bringing you anywhere because this big party is about to leave the poke lola- after looking at us and saying do you need something? No- hi, how are you, sorry I can’t do that. Just kind of rude to be honest. Sunday night at 8pm we tried to eat at Kachina in the lobby and they told us they were already closed and we could find late night food elsewhere. The restaurant closing hours listed was for 9pm. We were set to check out Monday morning and called for a late checkout with full intentions to pay for it and a 3pm checkout was $300. Online I could have booked the room for another night for $279. When I questioned the front desk she said well we need the room and I can give you the 3pm checkout for $279. So what is it? I can book the room online or you need the room. We declined. Our duvet cover was stained with a huge brownish liquid it looked like. We didn’t notice until the 3 night because the sheets had finally come apart from it. The wall next to our bed had coffee spilled all over it. For as much as we paid we definitely could have gotten a better experience elsewhere so be cautious in booking. Details are important and they all missed the mark here for me. …
