At the AC Hotel Denver Downtown, guests enjoy a range of amenities including a well-equipped gym and a rooftop bar, complemented by the coziness of lobby fireplaces. The prime location is a highlight, offering convenient access to attractions and transport. While many appreciate the hotel's modern and stylish atmosphere, the value proposition is questioned due to overpriced items and room sizes. The rooms, praised for their cleanliness and modern design, are critiqued for limited storage. Notably, the staff's exceptional service receives consistent commendation from travelers.

We had a terrific stay at this hotel. Ashley and Kristina went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We were tired from traveling and we appreciated the bottles of water that we were given upon arrival. We also were told we had been upgraded and would have a room with a city view on the 17th floor. Nice! We asked for a good place to eat dinner and our young hostess spent plenty of time asking what we liked and offering places and directions for where to eat. She made sure we knew which elevator to take as we headed to our room.

The room was clean, modern, and actually had a nice tv (compatible with your smart phone if you want to watch Netflix, YouTube tv, Hulu, etc.) directly in front of the bed. (Sometimes tvs are positioned weird in hotel rooms). The bed, linens, and pillows were clean and comfortable. Because of the cleanliness and new feeling, we were able to relax and get a good night's sleep. I will note there was not a refrigerator or a coffee maker in our room. We didn't mind this at all.

The next morning we asked for directions for public transportation and once again we received cheerful help. We also got another bottle of water after returning from our outing. It was truly appreciated! I should mention everyone working had masks and observed social distancing guidelines. There was also hand sanitizer placed in several easy to use places in the lobby.

One final note about the staff - I was surprised when we came back in the afternoon and were greeted with, "So, where did you go to dinner last night?" Wow, what personal care and service.

We asked for a late checkout and were told it was no problem at all and if we wanted to leave our bags they would hold them so we could leave whenever we wanted to. We are loyal Marriott members and we will definitely be back to this hotel!

Pros:
1) Best customer service hotel I've experienced in the U.S. They really make you feel important and appreciated. The assistant manager Carlos Guevara goes above and beyond in identifying my needs and wants every week I arrive for business trip. He takes the time to communicate and really understand you outside of just 'Hello'. He and other staff members in the hotel anticipate my arrival and do everything they can to have it ready with all the requests I usually like. Jamie Baronfeld, sales manager, always looks out for me when she anticipates the hotel to be sold out and blocks a room just to make sure it's available for me to book. Jesse Foote, the bartender, always makes the best drinks. His off menu drinks are really that good and believe he needs to get his own special menu to serve. His conversations are always fun and funny. Even all the other staff members who I've never officially met, find a way to say hello as I'm passing by.

2) New and modern hotel. Shares the same building and amenities as Le Meridien Denver.

3) Great location (near 16th Mall St. that has many shops, restaurants, and convention center)

4) Great social bars and lounges. Has an amazing highest rooftop bar in Denver that is always thriving in the summer.

Cons:
1) Needs more healthier yet tasty food options in the in-room dining menu and the restaurant.

Honestly, not too many other complaints. Definitely a must stay if you visit Denver.

Stayed for 1 night in mid December because we wanted to be within walking distance for a performance at Ellie Caulkins, which is only a few blocks away. There are 2 hotels in the same building, so different sides have different bars and restaurants. Check in was easy, but room wasn't available until 4pm. We had a supposedly upgraded room (high floor), but was still very small. The sink is basically in the main room with very little counter space. Shower stall and bathroom are basically all part of the room as well, very little privacy, with only sliding glass doors separating from the main room. No hooks anywhere for towels. Room showed some age and carpet was torn in numerous areas. View was of downtown, no mountains. No major complaints, but if you like space or want any sort of privacy within the room itself, look elsewhere.

This hotel was adequate for one night. Check in experience was unpleasant. We drove around in circles twice before finally realizing the check in is at The Meridian entrance around the corner (there is a small sign right in front). The valet is $49/night and there is no self park, although they said it was coming soon. We parked in a nearby public lot overnight for $14, which was kind of them to suggest.

The hotel itself is modern and recently renovated. The downstairs area felt very club-y and the elevator area smelled strongly of sewage. The lobby is mostly a bar and it was totally packed with 20-30 somethings, 95% were not wearing masks. Some of the staff was wearing masks. It's not a requirement in Denver if you're vaccinated, but it just felt unsafe during covid times.

We asked housekeeping for directions because the AC/Le Meridian thing is confusing and they ignored us twice because they were too busy chatting with each other. Then while walking to my room in the hallway, a group of three housekeepers were standing around talking, and then started pushing the cleaning cart down the hall. They came about two inches from hitting me until one of them yelled at the other to stop moving (I yelled “watch out!” too).

The room itself was fine. Efficient design for a small space with a good-sized ledge for luggage. It was dirty in the corners of the sink and shower, so it definitely needed a deep clean. The bed was comfortable. Walls are a bit thin and you can hear traffic outside, as well as in the halls/other rooms.

We had breakfast at Corinne which was convenient and decent food. The service there was very good.

Overall, I probably wouldn’t stay here again. It felt like a club scene and the housekeeping needs more training.

We spent Thanksgiving at the AC Hotel and felt right at home. As you can imagine downtown Denver and the hotel itself was a bit of a ghost town due to the holiday. Regardless, we love the AC Hotel brand and have yet to have a bad experience. The AC Denver was very clean, and the staff were very attentive. We especially enjoyed being able to take advantage of the pool table in the lounge. The rooms in the AC hotel are much like a modern Tetris box. Not super spacious like a suite but certainly very comfortable. Especially good for couples or those who don't mind an intimate setting. We had a view of the entire city that was absolutely breathtaking. The AC does share a building with the Le Meridian hotel, so the roof top and gym is shared space between the two hotels, but they do require keycard access. On a normal day, with less snow. you can walk just about anywhere in Downtown Denver from the AC Hotel so the need for a car is slim to none, unless you plan to go to the mountains. If you do have a car, valet parking is available but it can be costly. There is some surrounding parking lots and decks in walking distance from this hotel (the closest is right next door and across the street) which, depending on the parking duration, cost significantly less. Breakfast at the restaurant, which is also shared space, was fantastic. All in all we give AC Hotel 4 of 5 stars. Check them out if you're in the downtown Denver area. We look forward to coming back when it's warmer.

We were in town visiting with our daughter and family, I booked a corner room and it was incredibly TINY! No drawers to put clothing into and nowhere to put your suitcase besides on the bed since you have to access it all the time to retrieve your non-hanging clothing that was a giant pain. Since there was 2 of us, there wasnt enough hangers for both of us to use. I understand this is a minimalist designed hotel, but it was so small we were feeling claustrophobic and ready to leave by the next day. We talked to Erica at the front desk who was very understanding and helpful, she moved us to a room just across the hall which made for an easy move and was considerably larger so we didn't have to relocate to a new hotel. There was a sofa where we could open up our suitcases and lay out our belongings. The food at the restaurant Corinne was quite good, the service was friendly and prompt. The valet guys were nice but when we asked for directions on 2 separate occasions - once to a local park nearby and once to a bar literally just blocks away they had no idea and didnt know which direction to send us. I know these days google maps tells you were to go so not a huge deal but you'd think these guys would be at least familiar with the vicinity of the city around them.

Decided to try out the AC brand of hotels by Marriott. We have found it to be very nice and a little bit like an upgraded Aloft, especially the lobby. Rooms are nicely done. The only I did not like, is that the sink is in the open part of the room vs enclosed in a small room with the shower and toilet. This means if one person gets up earlier than the other, the lights go on in the room you’re sleeping in.

The nice surprise is that the Le Meridien is connected to the AC and you have access to their concierge and restaurants. This was great as we were looking for a dinner reservation and not sure where to go. Rolli at Le Meridien was very helpful and shared some of her favorites with us. Thank you Rolli.

We were very disappointed considering what we paid for this room. Upon check in we were not told that you had to request maid service, the room was very small for two people, the bathroom door was broken, the chair was broken, no soap and no shower gel. Did they clean our room? Asked for clean towels on day two when we found out about no maid service and after two hours and two requests they delivered towels but not two complete sets. At this point we expressed our unhappiness thus far with Cody at the front desk. He was like an apologetic robot and by this I mean it didn’t sound sincere and he looked like i was bothering him. We had earlier in the day inquired up front about the rooftop bar but the nice man NEVER mentioned we had to “ check in” at the front desk, so when we went to the rooftop for an afternoon cocktail we were embarrassed to be asked about our “card” and that is when we had enough and told the server just how terrible our experience had been. Rachael was kind enough to let us stay and actually made us feel welcome at the hotel I was paying to stay at! Upon check out the maid was knocking at our door at 11:02 (too bad they were not as prompt with towels) we explained again to the lady/manager our troubles when we checked out and she said she would “ talk to the team”. Certainly does not help me or the AC Hotel as I will not be back and neither will my friend who was also scouting out the hotel for business purposes. So, I guess you can tell your team that too.

We were in town for Oprah Vision Tour 2020 and wanted a smaller quaint hotel near the Pepsi Center as well as restaurants, bars, and shopping. It was perfect in everything we wanted. We had a duplicate reservation and Sino at front desk made the check in easy and corrected the room amount. The Doorman Zane was amazing at check out in his professionalism and helpfulness.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Denver, CO (love this city and the environs) but I was a little concerned about where to stay in the current pandemic (and it is still current).
My fears were allayed the moment I walked into the AC Marriott lobby with the welcoming staff who were so attentive, friendly, wearing masks and socially distant, which was so important to me.
The rooms were spick and span, modern and the beds and linens were SO SO clean and comfortable, all of which allowed me to settle in quickly. Overall the hotel has most of the facilities and features that make the difference in a 5 star hotel stay.
Of course some of these were unavailable due to the pandemic but I could get a very decent coffee downstairs (high priority for me) and find a great café table by the window where I could watch Denver walk by.
A special treat was doing morning yoga looking over the city from the highest rooftop bar! I'll be returning there next visit for a glass of bubbles.
Enjoyed the recommendations from the front desk staff for restaurants (especially Counter Culture) and our visit to the quirky and fun Forney Museum of Transportation. Finally, while all the staff were friendly behind their masks, I would like to give a big shout out to Kristina Harris who definitely has a flair for customer service; she was supportive from the moment we walked in the door to our departure 4 days later! She made it a very personalized stay!
Next time I return to Denver I will definitely include AC Marriott in my itinerary.
