This is a very good hotel located just off 16th St Mall in Denver. The rooms are clean and spacious with separate areas for cooking, eating and sitting. Kitchen facilities are basic but adequate, and the staff are helpful. The free breakfast is basic but adequate and the eating area is bright & airy, with attentive staff keeping everything spotless.
Slight negatives - our room was gloomy with views over a parking garage and the dishwasher didn’t work. At the moment, there is a building site across the street - not a problem but it means the views from the dining room are rather industrial.

The front desk staff was delightful! I loved their sense of humor and can-do attitude. Breakfast was also pleasant instead of being overcrowded. The rooms were clean, well-designed, and comfortable. USB ports were strategically placed, but some did not seem to work. We opted to not rent a car as the hotel is within walking distance to Coor’s Field. That saved the parking fees! I wish Bonvoy had a note in the room about being able to request daily maid service—I think that would have let guests know what to expect. The staff readily accommodated us with a late check out, but the computer shut off the cards at 11 AM. Again, the front desk took care of that very professionally.

1 block from the 16th street walking mall. Many restaurants very close. Check in was very slow, just like the last stay here four years ago. Rooms are quite and comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast is kept fully stock and everything we had was very tasty Good value for the money.

First the good. We had a queen room with pullout sofa in a separate living/kitchen area. Bedroom was basically silent with only occasional plumbing sounds from floors above. Kitchen was properly equipped with enough tools to function. Refrigerator has ice trays and an icemaker. Bed was comfortable and my daughter chose to sleep on the couch without using the pullout as the couch was comfortable enough also. TVs are large, windows open, room was generally clean, shower had ample hot water and pressure.
Guest laundry facilities were clean and had the mosr efficient coin operated dryers I have used.

Room for improvement.
The Bonoy app has a feature to request necessities such as towels or bedding. I tried this twice and while it said my request was being fulfilled we never received the requested items.
All doors in the room need a good wipedown. Finger prints and smears on door edges going into bedroom and bathroom.
Of the toiletry dispensers only the shampoo was functional. Conditioner pump didn't work and body was was empty.
Smoke detector in living room had packing tape around it.
Due to COVID restrictions breakfast is a sad grab and go bag with a soggy muffin, banana, and granola bar.
We paid for a "city view" room. I suppose that is all subjective but our view was of the ac units of the building next door.

I do understand I could have called the front desk to have these concerns addressed. However, when I am on vacation the last thing I want to do is deal with people or room repairs.

The room size was excellent and location good for picking up Uber/Lyft to get everywhere, but that's where it ends. The room was very musty smelling and housekeeping neglected to come on appointed day. I alerted the front desk who assured me it would be taken care of first thing in the morning. Came back the next day from long hiking trip and room was still not made up. Again, alerted the front desk and they assured me it would be taken care of. Three days hauling towels from the main office was not fun. The body wash dispenser was empty so luckily I always travel with a bar of soap just in case. When they finally cleaned the room they just removed the empty shower wash dispenser and didn't even replace it. And while I know marijuana is legal in Colorado, I would think the hotel would have a ban on smoking it in the guest rooms. However, it was so strong it was seeping through the walls from the suite next door - I was on the second floor and no one was smoking on the landing, so clearly they were smoking in the room. There was also an abandoned, crashed vehicle in the parking lot with towels stuffed in the windows for the duration of my stay. I would not recommend this location, management does not have any control over housekeeping apparently nor do they have a quality control process.

The common areas and elevators don't get cleaned regularly and don't follow the Marriott protocols listed by the company. You can tell days go by before the carpets are vacuumed or the floors are swept and mopped. Liquid and dirt is usually in the evaluators (photo attached). Good location and the staff is friendly. Failure to wear masks in elevators and pot smoking is also unfortunately an issue. Not sure if the staff can really do anything here though. Brad at the front desk is very hardworking and friendly. Highly recommend this place if kept clean.

It matters a lot to me whether the people who operate a hotel are friendly and professional, and they definitely were here. I also found the location of this Residence Inn to be well placed relative to the places I needed to go, and the free breakfasts each day were ample and much appreciated. But, I'm only giving two stars for this visit for two reasons. First, I was on a high floor and at times only one of the three elevators was functioning properly, making for some longish waits to go up or down. Second, and more bothersome, I found and killed three cockroaches during my two-day stay, on a countertop in the kitchenette area. I scoured the rest of the room after that and am prepared to say I got them all. Still! I reported this to the front desk upon checking out and I received an apology and an explanation that cleaning services are handled by company contracted by the hotel. I don't know what I was expecting but this explanation was unsatisfying and appeared to be more passing the buck than anything else.

Dear 497donaldc, Thank you for taking a moment to comment on your stay. I am delighted you found our staff to be friendly and professional. However, I am distressed to hear of the pest issue in your room. Please accept my apologies for this issue. This truly is an isolated incident and certainly not a common theme in our hotel. In addition, I will work with our team and coach them on an appropriate way to respond. I do not ever want us to sound like we are passing the buck. We take great pride in our service and cleanliness and the buck stops with me. Rest assured, we have addressed this issue accordingly and I am confident we have it resolved. Thanks again for your feedback and we do hope to have another opportunity to serve you in the future. Sincerely, Brad Leonard General Manager

Nice Hotel - But AC Unit Noise /Stopping and Staring Made if Difficult to Sleep. There was no option for just Fan, so the AC would cut off then turn back on and make a lot of other noise which made it very difficult to sleep.

Our room was a corner, 'Executive Suite" with a separate bedroom. It was very sparse in terms of furnishings however - needed some kind of coffee table

The cleanliness of the room was average. We needed to wipe down everything based on some the things that were obviously not wiped.

The price point wasn't bad though for this level of hotel in the heart of the city and I would stay again. (now that we've figured out if we crank up the white noise on our phones it will drown out the AC going on and off).

Let’s begin with the elevators. ONE elevator was operable during COVID. This meant that guests either had to share way less than 6 feet of enclosed space, or take an insane amount of time waiting for an empty elevator. Next, the hotel advertised a free HOT American breakfast. Let’s be real, “free” is actually wrapped into the cost of the room. We received a plastic bag with an orange, a yogurt, a muffin wannabe, and a bottle of water. Take down the false advertisement for crying out loud. The location was great, but in order to leave you’d have to catch an elevator. Their parking passes were unavailable and in order to exit, you had to call the front desk. I wasted all of my reward points and will not return a second time.

Greetings Brookej928, Thank you for taking a moment to comment on your stay. Please accept my apologies for the issues you experienced while a guest in our hotel. That is certainly not up to our standards. I have shared your comments with our team but I am happy to report that we have rectified the issues at hand. The elevators are functioning properly and the parking passes have arrived. In addition, there is a disclaimer on our website stating that some services may not be available due to Covid. We are hoping to get our breakfast going at some point but that date is currently unknown. I know we corresponded on a sidebar and I am hopeful we reached a satisfactory resolution. With that, I look forward to another opportunity to serve you in the future. Thanks again and safe travels. Sincerely, Brad Leonard General Manager

I stayed here for 3 nights for a conference. Impressed with Environmentally sustainable practices such as a recycle bin in every room and Bulk sized pumps in the bathroom for the shampoo, conditioner and body wash. This eliminated the need for the small wasteful plastic bottles.

I liked the fact that every guest was not given a water bottle at check in.

Location was good, 10 minute walk to the convention center. Not far from 16th street mall area. Staff friendly, but understaffed in general.

Good accommodations, would recommend this establishment.
