We didn’t plan to stay at the Honeymoon Suite of the Lumber Baron Inn but were pleasantly surprised by the extraordinary layout of the room. The new owner of the Inn offered us a brief tour of the house including some curiosities such as the beautiful ballroom on the top floor overlooking downtown Denver, the Valentines Suite and secret cabins...

Incredibly hospitable new owners who made us feel right at home. Fabulous restored mansion with lovely garden. One of the hottest and hippest urban renewal neighborhoods in the nation with loads of charm, foodie finds and young professionals. Walked to downtown and back. Loved our stay!

I had the pleasure of staying here this past week. The owners are incredibly inviting and energetic. They helped me with an itinerary for my one night stay and gave me a tour of the mansion in great detail. They were both excited to show me the beauty and mystery of the grounds and were tentative and helpful. The details...

we stayed in the Honeymoon suite, and the accommodations were amazing. Everything was even cozier and prettier than advertised online, and the wonderful couple who recently became owners of this amazing property were helpful, warm and inviting. We absolutely plan to return to Colorado in the winter months, and hope to return to this awesome place.

The Lumber Baron Inn is an elegant mansion that is being restored and is no longer a B&B. Its location is convenient to downtown Denver and the Interstate highways. Unfortunately, the main floor was emptied of its furniture and there was also no seating in our guest room. We had expected period décor in the common areas and attention to...

My boyfriend and I attended the "Kill the Whistle blower" show at Lumber Baron this December 2015. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience. First, doors open EXACTLY at 6pm. We were not sure when to arrive and were much too early and had to wait. Once in they are not super organized about check in but we got checked in...

We were looking forward to our stay and spent a long time choosing the right B & B. We've been waiting to write this review. The whole main floor of the house was crammed with tacky casino items . Lets face it, people stay in a historic B & B for the architecture and to travel back in time. If...

The charm that this place once held are now gone. Breakfast is gone, only a small mention on their website. The rooms seem dingy now as if no one cares. The furnishing that once filled the place are now gone. The inn-keeper doesn't seem to care much, it's sad.

We were in Denver on a mini-honeymoon and found a Groupon discount for the Murder Mystery dinner show. It was well worth it. The historic mansion was absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious and the show was a riot! I highly recommend it for a great night out.

I have been waiting to write this as frankly I found the experience a very peculiar one & wanted to be fair. I had to attend a business event in Denver and needed accommodations but couldn't justify the $400 per night + rates in downtown then I found this. It's a beautiful mansion by all accounts but is for sale...
