I was on an extended work trip and spent the weekend in Denver. From the moment I arrived, Jason and the guys in the front took my car and got my bags to my room. The front desk accommodated my early arrival and then went above and beyond all weekend to answer my questions and make my stay experience exceptional! Tamila, Jose, Cielo and everyone at the front desk gave me good advice, went out of their way to get me coffee, and even gave me a birthday present! I spent my birthday alone and the hotel sent me a special dessert cake and also sent some chocolate chip cookies with my evening room service! The rooms are quiet, the room service is excellent and the hotel is convenient walking distance to many restaurants and shops. I was traveling alone and felt safe during my stay. I always felt appreciated and pampered by all of the staff - who are so friendly and willing to meet any request. I had some shirts laundered and they turned out beautifully - the laundry and housekeeping are 24 hours a day. This is my new GO TO hotel in Denver. And only about 30 minutes from the airport. Gold star to everyone at this property! Thank you!!!

I love the Ritz Carlton brand. It never disappoints except in Denver. The restaurant is closed and despite being platinum elite members were told there is no way for us to allow you to buy club access. Just ordered room service and was charged a $10 fee. Would love to be able to dine in a restaurant but that’s not an option. Upon trying to speak to the front desk I was told by Bruna that I am not staying in the room I’m staying in and that my last name is not my last name. Once she worked out that she was wrong, there was no apology. Just another “no, you can’t have club level access.” We all go to the Ritz for the experience, not to sit in a meeting room with no windows that’s posing as their restaurant and be told, there are no other options than dining in your room, and paying $34 for a $18 salad that is over priced to begin with. Stay away from this Ritz and go somewhere else until they get it together.

Responded 2 weeks ago
Dear Guest, I am writing to you today to personally apologize for the series of unfortunate experiences you encountered during your recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Denver. We take immense pride in consistently exceeding the expectations of our guests, especially our valued Platinum Elite members, and we deeply regret that we fell short on this occasion. Firstly, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the restaurant closure and the misinformation you received regarding Club Level access. We understand the frustration of being unable to dine in our restaurant and the disappointment of not being granted access to an amenity you rightfully deserve. We are conducting a thorough review of these situations to ensure similar incidents do not happen again and to improve the clarity of communication with our guests. We are particularly sorry for the error made by the front desk. Her actions did not reflect the high standards of service and professionalism we strive to maintain. We are taking appropriate steps to ensure proper training and address her conduct to prevent any recurrence of such a disappointing interaction. We are deeply troubled by your description of the makeshift restaurant setting and the feeling of limited options. The Ritz-Carlton experience is defined by its commitment to exceptional dining experiences, and we understand how the current situation falls short of your expectations and ours. We are working diligently to find alternative solutions and improve the current offerings until the restaurant reopens. We truly appreciate your feedback, both positive and negative, as it is essential for us to identify areas where we can continuously improve and deliver the exceptional service that is synonymous with The Ritz-Carlton brand. This hotel should lose its Ritz Carlton flag. It drags the brand down. No mention on the website that the main dining outlet would be closed for renovation, because theres some folding tables in the hallway?? But oh theres room service? and its twice an expensive. Even before Elways was closed this hotel has stood out for falling well below the brand standards. This is a Westin at best.

It's been a while since I have stayed at RC, and it still doesn't disappoint. Just checked for our first time at this @ritzcarltondenver, and that same feeling came flooding back. Friendly staff, quality and professionalism at every turn. Room is impeccable. Elways is under renovation so we had a lovely lunch at the lounge. Can't wait to return-thank you for always taking care of us. #ritzloverforlife #ritzcarltondenver

Another Bonvoy disappointment! Old and tired rooms. Dated and scratched furniture. An overall depressing feeling. The plastic water kettle was purchased at the thrift store. No mini bar, the empty refrigerator has a 70F temperature. Motel-style sofa. No one in the housekeeping team speaks English, I thought the property was in Denver.

Had a great experience while staying there a couple weeks ago. The property is in great condition. The Staff was exceptionally friendly - calling out Brian H at the bell desk, and Terri (please forgive me if I have the name incorrect) in the bar area we visited several nights. I would definitely recommend this location and will be visiting again. Loved the location as I was attending a convention.

I usually stay at 4Season in Denver when visiting, but I decided to try the RItz; what a huge disappointment. The room is a suite with no mini bar, minimal amenities, and dated rooms/bathroom. The TV would not go off the 1st day, so maintenance needed to shut it off. I tried to get spa treatments, but they didn't have anything available at the times that worked for me, so I exercised and wanted to steam and sauna, only to find out you can not use those facilities unless you get a treatment. I've never experienced that before as a guest in a major high-end hotel. I was shocked and decided I'd never return to this hotel again. Be aware if you are expecting this hotel to be a high-end luxury hotel with amenities you would typically expect in a hotel of this caliber. You will be disappointed.

Very friendly service from doorman, check-in, and room service. Housekeeping did a great job with turndown in the evenings. The bathroom was lovely - I enjoyed the soaking tub and separate shower very much. Bed was comfortable. The property is showing its age - furniture dated / dinged up, carpets need replacing. For that reason alone, it’s hard to justify the price. I look forward to seeing it when it’s renovated.

We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton in Denver expecting The Ritz-Carlton. What we received was at best more on par with a mediocre older Sheraton. It was neither a 5-star hotel nor a Ritz-Carlton. 1) No pre-arrival email or personalized welcome letter. 2) No bellman at arrival or departure. So no assistance with luggage. 3) I was never thanked nor recognized at check-in for my Marriott elite status. The lack of recognition or appreciate carried over into my room, where I received an unsigned typewritten thank you note from a manager. Of course, the manager couldn't even sign it. They just typed their name. 4) My room was spacious but was missing a refrigerator. The mini-bar was room temperature and empty, as in not stocked. Furniture was well-worn and showing considerable wear-and-tear. I don't mind classic decor but outside of cheap wall art, a new TV and power strips that had been jerryrigged to the nightstands, the room felt like it hadn't had any kind of serious refresh or renovation since 2008-2010. 5) The amenities in the room were low-end or few and far between. Individual bottles of toiletries have been replaced by cheap dispensers of soap, shampoo and conditioner. Not only were the dispensers half-empty but they were not tamper proof. That means someone could tamper with the dispensers and put something in there that shouldn't be in there. There was no shoe horn and the laundry bags for dry cleaning were cheap plastic bags that ripped with more than one or two articles of clothing. Slippers weren't branded Ritz-Carlton. I never saw a printed hotel directory. Instead, there just a bunch of signs with QR codes. 6) Restaurant is advertised as opening at 7 am but actually didn't open until 8 am for breakfast. At the end of the day, this is a mediocre 4-star hotel pretending to be a Ritz-Carlton. If the hotel was branded a Sheraton it would be acceptable. But this is branded as a Ritz-Carlton. Against several excellent 4-star and 5-star hotels in downtown Denver, there is absolutely no reason to stay here. It is a lousy value. They also don't do anything to recognize Marriott titaniums and ambassadors beyond a cheap small bag of popcorn and a typewritten note that wasn't even signed by a manager.
