We just returned from a 3 day getaway to Dunton. It is a magical place in every regard. The feel/vibe is welcoming, warm, peaceful, and unique. The staff we met (Eric, Melanie, and Sous chef John), made us feel totally at home and looked after our every need. Exceptional. Our cabin, totally rustic on the exterior, was finely appointed with...

My friend and I stayed at Dunton this past December, with my dog (who probably enjoyed it most of all). We immediately fell in love with this eclectic, unique and possibly even eccentric lodge. Each cabin is beautifully restored and charming. The chefs were incredible and catered to all of my eating preferences and allergies without hesitation. The staff is...

Superb combination of spectacular setting and intimate hospitality. The resort is simply charming and staff were personal and genuine. We visited Dunton over Christmas 2010 and the could not have imagined a better way to relax and observe the snow fall from the warmth of the hot springs and raging fires. The cuisine is excellent. In the past year, my...

Dunton is amazing. I have found only two places on earth that I truly relax, and with a four year old in tow, that's hard. Dunton is one with the Kia Ora Sauvage in Rangiroa the other. We are returning after a winter trip with just my wife and I in February 2010. We wanted our daughter to see this...

We were married at Dunton Hot Springs in 2004. We have traveled back every year and recently the last two years with our small children. We will never miss a year at Dunton! Dunton Hot Springs is the most unexpected, relaxing, casual, pampering, secluded resort you can go to. It has been our grown-up vacation, however this last year with...

My wife and I just returned home for a 5 day stay at Dunton Hot Springs, and it was truly a wonderful experience. This may be one of the first places I can say you can 100% unwind. There is something magical about the setting and place in general. The people, the food, the locale, the cabins, location... they have...

Extremely low-key, get-away-from-it-all environment. One feels free to do as much or as little as one desires. Great mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, fly-fishing on-site. Any other outdoor activity will easily & gladly be arranged for you by the helpful, yet low-key, staff. Everyone begins to feel like one, big family shortly after arriving. Make SURE and book when Chef...

We had a splendid time at Dunton Hot Springs. Not only is the location beyond beautiful, nestled near timberline in the San Juan mountains, it's also a place of restful serenity and impeccable hospitality. Don't expect it to be the Ritz--it's an old ghost town converted into a first-class hotel/spa, but without losing the particular charms of its history and...

We had the pleasure of having our wedding at Dunton Hot Springs in June and we could not have imagined a venue any better than this. We rented the town for 40 of our friends and family and were never diappointed over our 3 day stay. Hilary was exceptional in helping us plan the weekend and all the associated events...

First, let me start with my general thoughts...honestly, the day we were flying/driving in, I started having second thoughts about going here because I hadn't read many reviews and was only going off what I read from their website. I was thinking, "Oh no, we're driving to the middle of nowhere in the San Juan mountains to an old restored...
