My husband and I just got home from staying at Stoney River Lodge. We were in the smallest room " the eagle room" and it had everything we needed. It's a very short drive to Estes Park and Loveland. We woke up watching sheep on the ridge! Do know, there isn't cell phone reception in the canyon. The facilities do...

The Stoney River Lodge was just perfect. I spent the weekend there with my sister for a quick getaway, and it was a great value, lovely location, and had everything we needed for a low key weekend together. The host, Linda, was super friendly and easy going. She really wants to provide a comfortable, no frills, and affordable stay. The...

My wife and I stayed here for our second time and had a great time as always. The property is located about halfway between Loveland and Estes Park making it perfect for getting supplies or any of the outdoor activities for which the Rockies are famous. Do yourself a favor and talk to Colin and Linda, they had great suggestions...

My husband, myself, and my dog Hershel enjoyed our stay at Stoney River Lodge very much! We were in the area for a wedding and needed somewhere that accepted animals. The cabin was very comfortable and met all our basic needs. We were also comfortable leaving the dog for a couple hours to attend the wedding. There are many dog...

We spent four nights at the Stoney River Lodge and found it to be a nice relaxing place with friendly people both running the place and visiting. It's right on the river and if it were summer it would have been fun to sit by the rushing water and roast up some s'mores. The setting is very peaceful and homey....

We stayed 2 nights for our anniversary in the cowboy room while visiting Estes Park and we loved the lodge! It was suprisingly clean and well maintained. Our room had a romantic fireplace and a well appointed kitchen with beautiful new wood floors. The river was peaceful and surrounding trails were a nice bonus. The owners were truly the best...

My husband and our three children enjoyed a wonderfully peaceful stay here. Unfortunately, it rained the whole visit so we didn't get to do much in the way of outdoor activities. But the beautiful sound of the rain through the trees behind our caboose cabin & the river water rushing was very enjoyable. The satellite television came in handy too...

My parents and I stayed here for a couple nights this last weekend and it was great. We stayed in the little moose room and everything was just as described on their website. Linda was nice enough to offer a memory foam mattress topper for the futon so that it was more comfortable to sleep on. Our only complaint was...

The Stoney River Lodge is reasonably priced and beautifully situated. The proprietors are a great couple. The river rushes thru the canyon outside your door. Nice clean room with kitchen and great prices. Recommended if you want a change from corporate mediocrity. (But read the cancellation policy. Reasonable for a small place but strict.)

I spent 3 nights in a cabin at this venue with my daughter. Rustic mountain site was peaceful, clean & tidy; exactly what I wanted. Linens, appliances, kitchen ware was all new because of the 2013 Thompson Canyon flood. Hosts were on site and pleasant to visit. Because I was delayed on my drive from over 500 miles away, they...

I guess next year you'll be Canada bound heh? Or do they say Ayyy"? Anyway it was great getting to know you and your daughter and her doggie....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On the river and in the woods...just the way we like it. 2 Eagles Resort is located just 15 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park and is a great alternative to "in town" lodging. We offer a variety of affordable accommodations ranging from kitchenettes, to suites with full kitchens, to completely self contained cottages. The atmosphere is "family" and the attitude is left behind. Hike our secluded trails, fish outside your door, play horseshoes and volleyball. Or you could just kick back and enjoy the serenity. Smoking outdoors okay. Dog friendly units available. FREE WI-FI and Sat TV Some units with fireplaces. ... more   less
