We were lucky to be going through Durango the day after Heather opened for the season. The house is wonderful, Heather is a great host and the house is within walking distance of downtown. The history of the house is fantastic. I mean, how many of us can say we stayed in a house that used to be a hospital...

Mike and Heather are amazing people! They are so friendly, generous and hospitable. They made me feel like it was home away from home. It was an amazing stay at the Gable House! I loved hearing the history of the house too. The location of the B&B was only blocks away from downtown, nestled in an older neighborhood. We enjoyed...

Finally got reservations here after missing out several years in a row. It's an elegant place to stay with excellent access to downtown Durango. You can get to virtually any place worth visiting on foot in 10 minutes. Steamworks Brewery is close by, as are several wonderful restaurants. We spent two nights here while taking the D&SNGG strain (the station...

Wonderfully friendly, warm place to stay. Very nice room, with a separate "activity" room on the 3rd floor that was very useful as an office for us, as well as a large comfortable TV viewing area. Breakfast was excellent and fully satisfying. If there is a negative, it is that bedrooms are on 3 floors, so if you have a...

We stayed at Gable House for two nights for our anniversary. It was one of the most uniquely historical, elegant B&Bs we've ever visited, and we highly recommend it if you're looking for a memorable experience in Durango. The house is a massive Queen Anne, built in the late 19th century. It has been lovingly maintained and carefully updated so...

Staying in this guest house was just like visiting old friends and I am not surprised to hear that many guests return year after year. The welcome is really warm and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The deliciously home cooked breakfasts feel much more like a family meal. The house is close to the station for the Durango train...

Heather and Michael are warm, and welcoming! The house is the same! We enjoyed our breakfast visits with Heather and her stories of "Town Deer" and bears. The room(s) were VERY clean and easy to relax in. Our room had a private porch which we used and enjoyed very much! "She" (the House) is set in a neighborhood the reflects...

Charming Inn in Charming Durango, CO. We had a family reunion there in mid June and want all to know what a cordial hostess Hearher is. This picture perfect Queen Ann is in a quiet upscale residential area within walking distance to quaint Main Street, great restaurants and cute shops. The Durango to Silverton Narrow Gauge Train Station is about...

Heather and her husband have meticulously restored this Victorian over 44 years. The home is absolutely immaculate and very nicely furnished. The grounds are spacious with lush landscape. It is a friendly neighborhood with many restored old homes within easy walking distance of the downtown but away from the commotion. Heather is warm and welcoming and makes superb breakfasts. It...
