We decided to take a different route back to Minnesota from Phoenix by way of Durango and Mesa Verde National Park. But that didn't work out because of the threat of icy roads. We did check out Durango a little but hope to come back at a different time of year. We would definitely stay at the Econolodge again.

We had a night in Durango on our travels. We are Choice members and have stayed in a few Econo Lodges. This is by far the best granted it cost more being in a high rent district. Samuel checked us in and was very efficient and informative of all the questions we had. This is a very old hotel but...

I wanted to give a big shout out to this facility. Their customer service was superior and the cleanliness of the hotel room and grounds was on point. I was traveling through last week and had to switch cities to sleep in. Originally booked in Flagstaff, AZ I found myself needing a room in Durango, CO. Christine helped me to...

Can't say enough good about our stay here. We were in Durango for two nights to ride the Durango-Silverton train. But travel for our family has been difficult as of late due to my developing chemical sensitivity - meaning that I can't be in a room that has new mattresses, carpet, paint, pesticides, or any other harsh chemicals, or I...

When we got to our room we were going to turn on the heat, as it was a little cool. There was a notice on the wall by the thermostat that the heat is not on in certain months, including September. You were instructed to leave it on "cooling" and set the temp where you wanted it. If you did...

We had a big suite. Lots of space and clean although it was clear it was an old building that had been done up. Check in was a breeze (had reservations) and there was plenty of parking. There was some noise from the street but it pretty much stopped by 9pm. The bathroom was a good size with a hot...

Due to a storm front that came through, the heating system had not been switched for the season and the room was freezing. They did provide space heaters but it was a tough night of too cold or too hot. The gal at the front desk never lost her smile and pleasant demeanor. The rooms were clean.

The motel is older but it is clean and the desk clerk was very helpful and friendly. We were not familiar with the area and since it was a Tuesday evening in September, did not expect the town to be so busy or expensive. We appreciated the desk clerk's helpful information in locating a good restaurant, etc. The motel provided...

We were given the "penthouse" upper room because we had arrived early and they were not overbooked. The staff at this Econolodge is exceptional. We don't eat at hotel breakfasts but I noticed this Econolodge had a very good selection of food.

This is an inexpensive motel with very few amenities but it is the people who run it that made our stay special. We were fortunate to meet Brooke the owner who is a delightful lady. You can tell she is intent on having her quests have a pleasant stay. Her staff was very friendly too. This plus the wonderful city...
