We stayed at this Courtyard location for one night both on our way to Mt. Rushmore and Sturgis and on our way back from Yellowstone National Park. Walt checked us in both times, was very friendly and welcomed me as a Marriott Bonvoy Plantinum Elite member. Room was good size, with a fridge and single cup coffee maker. The king size bed had 4 pillows and was very comfortable. We used the pool and jacuzzi as well, which was very relaxing after a 9 hour drive from Yellowstone. What I always look for and review is for the little plastics bottles and one bar soaps that a majority of hotels utilize and is a big plastic waste on the environment. This Courtyard had refillable types which we really loved and give a high-five too. Wish all hotels could go to this, imagine the waste saved. :) Due to COVID, Breakfast was grab and go and was enough to get us full. We had dinner twice at the nearby Carraba's which is within very easy walking distance. All in all, very affordable stay in a safe and nice location in Fort Collins. We had no issues as for the ones reviewed below.

I got bedbugs while staying there staff was rude when I told them they lied and said there wasn’t any I had itchy bumps on up and down my arms and there is no other way I could’ve got them. Immediately when I talked to the manager about it she said “ you must’ve rubbed up against a bush!” Basically saying it was my fault in which it wasn’t. We weren’t in nature at all. She wanted to keep us hush hush about it. Then they lied and told us there wasn’t bed bugs. Clearly you can tell in the pics there was. Stay at your own risk. Horrible staff be aware of bedbugs.

Just stayed one night so that I could visit my daughters. The staff that checked me in were nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. My daughters and I got some carry out food and pulled the computer level desk out for our impromptu dining experience! I really appreciated the Tea Tree shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. After this stay, I stayed in a hotel in Denver (Radisson), which REALLY made me appreciate the Courtyard.

Courtyard hotel is currently closed even though you can book a room on Marriott site which is incredibly unethical. They will move you to the Residence Inn across the street. Booked online direct through Marriott site. Arrived to a notice on the front door notifying it is locked and to please call a number. A hotel worker was there and came out and notified us the hotel was closed and that the reservation was moved to the Residence Inn. He said someone should have called and notified us and sorry that didn’t happen. Okay, fine, no big deal. So we go and check in(front desk ladies were very nice) at the Residence Inn across the street. Get into the room and it was literally SO DIRTY. Room 127 main floor corner room. Crumbs and food all over the floor in the kitchen. Tables had crumbs and coffee grounds on them. Just obviously dirty, with all the notices they post of extra cleaning and sanitizing during Covid, this was clearly not the case. Went back to the front desk to notify and ask for a room change. The front desk ladies were very nice, change the room which ended up being an accessible room which is not something we would book due to the bathrooms. They had no other King rooms available so moved to a third room which was a Queen room. Called Marriott customer service which said they couldn’t do anything since we already checked in and to work with the hotel. Okay, go and speak with the front desk ladies- we would like to get a refund and stay somewhere else. The front desk said they could cancel but could not guarantee we would receive no penalty charges and that they would have to leave a note for the GM to review and decide. Absolutely Ridiculous - stuck in a hotel we don’t want to be in. Don’t book either hotel.

We had a reservation with courtyard hotel and they transferred our room to the residence inn, the hotel we were transferred too, words cannot describe the disappointment for our first family vacation to Colorado. The room had a horrible odor, bugs on the floor, not enough towels, no toilet paper, the shower shampoo, conditioner, and body wash had not been refilled, the fold out mattress in the couch had stains all over it, the night lady working was the absolute most hateful person I have ever came across on the hotel industry, she acted like I was the problem when the people above us were making the most awful noises from 3-5 am, after we had just traveled 11 hours from Oklahoma, she was short and rude, completely unprofessional, feel like we were ripped off from our family vacation, we even had another family traveling with us, got them to also book a room with your hotel, they were transferred as well, their first room the air conditioner did not work, so they got moved to a smaller room, were again the a/c did not work either. Could not believe the service we received from the residence inn.

Hi Jennifer, As I explained in my email I wish you would have come down to the front desk during the day and spoke to a manager, we would have been able to help you. I am so sorry.
