This hotel is not part of a chain. It is owned and operated by the couple that built it. Anna takes tremendous pains to ensure that the rooms are clean. The hotel modern and comfortable. If you are staying in Ft Garland, this is where you want to sleep

There weren't too many choices of hotels between Ft. Garland and San Luis, and Alamosa was out of the way. The FGMI was clean, the owner, Anna, was very helpful (even called a diner to ensure they were open on Easter Sunday for us without us asking), and the lobby is impressive. The rooms are a standard hotel room (pretty...

Anna the owner is a real character. She takes great pride in her inn and it looks it. One of the cleanest places we have ever stayed in. She was very friendly and accommodating to us. We enjoyed our stay. Good location if visiting the Great Sand Dunes National Park, which is why we chose this inn.

Anna, the owner, runs a tight ship, and is a warm, interesting character. Blanca Peak is in the background, and it is higher than Pike's Peak. Good restaurants are nearby. Anna will sing you a departing cabaret song in Polish, or Spanish, if you like.

The place is clean and quiet. Anna, the owner, is an absolute hoot - we enjoyed joking around with her and she was very attentive to our needs. The relatively high price is the only reason I do not give the FGMI five stars.

So glad we decided to stay here. Staff was friendly and extremely accommodating. The rooms were well maintained. It is obvious staff works diligently to keep up on housekeeping. It is close to the dunes and Zapata falls. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed at the Motor Inn last night. I arrived after 9:30pm, wet, cold, and tired. The hotel was very clean (probably the cleanest I've stayed in) and my room was warm. When I woke the owner, Anne, gave me directions, pointed me to the nearest restaurant, and packed me some cookies. You can't beat that. If you are in...

I strongly suggest the Fort Garland Motor Inn as a very clean, quiet place to stay with friendly service. Anna returned a "left behind" item while we were having breakfast across the street. Thanks, Anna!

IF you want a clean place to stay with great hospitality you need to stay here. Leave the dogs and cats at home and take a vacation, if you want to party and smell like an ash tray then stay down the road. We had a great time!
