So much to cover I’m not sure where to begin. This property was formerly a Baymont Inn and as of a few years ago was a nice place to stop. Very clean, well landscaped, and with a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant. How times have changed! Upon arrival I noticed that the grounds are in terrible shape. Clearly there has been little attention given for some time. There was quite a bit of trash on the grassy areas and the concrete walkway at the entrance was in dire need of pressure washing due to numerous stains from the waste can. The formerly cozy lobby is now dingy and in need of a good deep cleaning. The front desk staff were courteous if not particularly welcoming. The check in process was uneventful. One of the two elevators was out of order. The functioning one was filthy. There was nasty gunk on the buttons. The carpets had not been vacuumed in some time and beneath the debris, were again, in need of a good steam clean. When we opened the door to our room we discovered that it had not been cleaned. The front desk staff was apologetic and moved us to the room next door. Unfortunately, they did not change our assignment in the computer and someone barged into our room a few minutes later! Afterwards we received a call from the front desk inquiring who we were so that they could correct the registration. However, several hours later when I attempted to charge a soft drink to my room the night desk clerk did not show me as being in the correct room, so obviously this matter had not been addressed. The room itself was not bad, but left a lot to be desired. The TV service did not work (screen would freeze every few seconds). I had heard another guest complaining about the same problem when we checked in. The door to the bathroom was too small and when closed left a crack at the top and on the side so that you could clearly see when someone was using the commode. The shower was wonderful! Plenty of hot water and a selection of jets. The mattress was not wonderful, but certainly adequate, and the linens appeared clean. The mini-fridge was functional and cold. We did not use microwave or heater so cannot speak to their functionality. There were no lights, whatsoever in the parking lot, making for an unsafe feeling when outside. Prior to booking our stay I looked over recent reviews and most mentioned that the place was clean and comfortable, though in the process of renovation. I saw no evidence of renovation, only a filthy property with a largely apathetic and poorly trained staff. This is perhaps the most critical review I have written in some time and I don’t wish to appear overly harsh. I do understand that the central mountains of Colorado are struggling with a severe labor shortage. However, even with this acknowledgement, other properties in the area manage to provide clean and inviting accommodations. Given the attractive room rate I’m OK with an older property that is showing some wear and tear, but cleaning supplies can’t be that expensive.

Dear Shelby L, Thank you for sharing your feedback after your recent stay with us. We do appreciate this information and take it to hear to improve ourselves and our property. As we embark on an extensive renovation, we remain committed to our guests and ensuring they enjoy their stay. To that end we have taken action to address many areas of concern. I personally have walked much of the grounds to sweep for trash, though recognizing that this will be an ongoing, daily process for us. We have also installed a new heating element on our satellite dish to ensure that we have great reception even in the snowiest of weather. I have also been working directly with our housekeeping staff to ensure that they are following proper cleaning protocols and communicating with the front desk so we do not encounter confusion as you experienced. Again, I am sorry for the trouble you experienced and hope you will consider staying with us again in the future so we can regain your trust. Josh Stuhr General Manager jstuhr@summit-suites.com

Don't stay here! This place is a dump. First, it is listed on Expedia as Sylo Lake Dillon Lodge. On Expedia it said there was a pool, free breakfast cable and internet. There was none of these! I prepaid on Expedia and couldnt get a refund! The decor was old and I felt like I needed to take a shower and burn my clothes after staying here!

Dear N6535JXseanm, I am sorry for the unacceptable experience you had as the hotel reopened. In the months since we have been busy building a team and improving the resort. These efforts have included reactivating the hotel WiFi system and installing a new satelite TV service. More exciting, we have also begun an extensive renovation that will completely remake the hotel. We know this does not make up for your experience, but we have heard your feedback and hope you will consider staying with us again in the future. Josh Stuhr General Manager

We chose to spend our family holiday at this hotel as we had done a little research for other options in the area. It turned out nicely and it didn’t let us down. The price was really reasonable compared to other ones. The staff was amazingly friendly and nice, they made us enjoy the stay, rooms were spacious and clean. They pool looked nice but we didn’t have a chance to try it. The breakfast was decent. Would recommend it.
