Our daughter's wedding at Shadow Mountain Guest Ranch was everything she had hoped for. We rented the entire ranch and out of town guests were able to stay at the cabins for two nights and enjoy all the activities. Jim's daughter and her husband were extremely helpful with any questions or concerns we had. The ceremony was by the lake... More

We stayed in Grandmas cabin which was clean and comfortable. Jim, the owner, was a super host. Unfortunately we missed breakfast because we had an 8:30am horseback ride. The area is in the middle on nowhere so if you enjoy peace and quiet this is the place to be! Cabin was well stocked but make sure you bring snacks if... More

Santa clause (the owner) made us feel like we were visiting family. He made the most amazing breakfast. We enjoyed the secluded location with a quick drive into town or to the lake. We enjoyed the fire pit, the hot tub and of course the beautiful cabin. All the amazing furniture which made by Dale who also lives there. It... More

Stayed here 4 nights for a wedding and loved it! Was beautiful with beautiful views. I got to see most cabins B/c wedding party had entire place rented out. Place was clean and neat. It does need a few random repairs but nothing that really affected our stay. The area around the main house needs a little tidying up but... More

What can I say about our host except we found Santa. Jim is a super host quiet, helpful, and entertaining. Our accommodations were clean and just the right size. Don't go here is you are looking for five star, instead you have a cabin that has amazing hand tooled woodwork remodeled by Jim and Mr Dale(who claimed he was 90).... More

My family stayed at Shadow Mountain during the week of Thanksgiving. We truly had a wonderful visit. The cabins are perfect for making fires and playing games, not to mention roasting marshmallows every night at the fire pit!!! The cabins are in the great location, just a short drive to snowmobiling and boarding in Winter Park and the tubing in... More

I stayed at Shadow Mountain in June 2013 for a few days before heading to Estes Park via Trail Ridge Road. I wish I had spent more time here. The property is about 10 miles north of Granby, away from the crowds of tourists visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. The setting is convenient yet remote, peaceful, and serene. Cabins here... My partner and I stayed at Shadow Mountain Guest Ranch the nights of June 3 and 4, 2013. We had the Hen House cabin and found the baseboard heat more than adequate and the wood stove easy to set up. The host Jim White is the perfect picture of a mountain man, and a perfect gentleman. He makes a hearty... More

My Husband Bill and I just returned from our visit to Shadow Mountain Guest Ranch where we had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Trappers Cabin, a small cabin that only sleeps 2, but is pet friendly, so our 2 dogs were able to join us as well. We just brought along there pet beds and we were all... More

We have lived in Denver for the last 22 years and frequently visit the mountains 1-2 hours from Denver. Always trying new places. This is by far my favorite. The setting is beautiful, close to Winter Park and Grand Lake. The owner Jim adds to the charm. I feel as though I am at my favorite Uncles home. He makes... More
