Grand lake lodge has great views, cabins are comfortable, cleaning and restaurant staff are friendly and anything we needed they would get. The one thing that stuck out to me here is I feel management here does the bare minimum despite how much these cabins are.One of the head managers we talked to was a bit rude and he didn't...

There are only a few cabins that have any sort of view of anything pleasant. Even if you're down sitting at the lodge, the view is not that great of the lake due to the swimming pool blocking the view. Keep in mind that it gets pretty hot during the day so when you go to bed at night it'll...

We started our drive through Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, which was a mobbed touristy town. We had a great, though crowded, drive through the Park along Trail Ridge Road, but were discouraged from stopping for short hikes by all the people. What a joy it was, then, to arrive at the Grand Lake Lodge. It was busy...

You don't actually stay in a lodge, you stay in cabins behind the lodge. Avid hikers, this was our third visit to the lodge. It's on the quieter west side of RMNP, and close to the park (almost in it). Although there are less trails than on the east side, there are a lot more animals. You are guaranteed to...

Sit on the porch or in the restaurant and this is what the lodge is all about. The rooms are actually duplex small cabins. You won't want to spend a lot of time in them. We would return and see about finding a more expensive and larger cabin - not sure if they have them. We had a good time...

I think they could not have picked a better location for this lodge, the view is spectacular and the lodge is not ostentatious at all. Rather it is serene and nicely appointed with friendly staff. The overlook has a wedding ceremony location and beyond is a small town next to a lake. Very pretty scene. Antique and original vehicles are...

Really enjoyed Grand Lake Lodge AND Grand Lake. The lodge is rustic but comfortable. Would be great for families or groups staying in cabins. Can walk to lodge, enjoy restaurant and fire pit inside lodge! Front desk was VERY nice, & easy check in. Guaranteed to see moose around town or in RMNF, if you want... Drive from Estes Park...

The Grand Lake Lodge is one of Colorado's best places to stay, shop, eat and linger on the porch with outstanding views! The location will take your breath away, the food and accommodations are wonderful!

Spent 3 nights at this historic lodge. The cabins had been updated and included all of the amenities you could want. Watching the sun go down overlooking the lake with a local lodge beverage was worth it. We really enjoyed visiting the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park and this lodge was very convenient.

An old hotel with few dozens of cabins spread over a hill with beautiful view of surrounding mountains and Grand Lake. Perfect location for hiking in Rockies NP if you fancy a hot shower on comfortable bed after a day or more in the wild. Note that the wild extends to the hotel properties, with moose wandering throughout the parking...
