We stayed in the women's dorm for 4 days, we had different roommates daily and they were all considerate and interesting. The others staying in the lodge were friendly. The staff was very accommodating and kind. The hostel provides hot beverages and condiments and use of a visitors kitchen. There are tons of books, games and wifi. Within easy walk...

Grand Lake was one of the traditional stomping grounds of the Ute Indians. Shadowcliff is very close to numerous fine hiking trails, and is within a five minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park, where ranger Harry Cannon and several elk and moose hang out, with at least one furtive fox. Many activities are available close to Shadowcliff, but a...

This is the perfect place to base a hiking tour of the area. Hanging out in the lobby with friendly international guests was a big plus. We also used the guest kitchen and the other amenities like the library, telescope, and piano. THe view from the lobby/dining room of the lodge has the best view of Grand Lake available. What...

To come to Shadowcliff is to come home, even if it's your first visit. Welcoming would be an understatement, as would beautiful, peaceful, inspiring, and affordable. Beware: you won't want to leave. The staff establishes a relationship with you that just might last long after your stay. Shadowcliff was great for our group of 15 or so middle and high...

Always rejuvenated by the woods, the people, and the warmth of this place. Built and sustained with love, Shadowcliff is truly a home away from home. Convenient location: Close to town (restaurants, bars, a world-class theater, a lake, ice-cream... plus so many potential friends!) RMNP trailheads literally at your doorstep, and a RMNP visitor center nearby. Gorgeous views of Grand...

Wonderful stay at shadow cliff. Cabin is cozy and clean. Perfect for a small family. No tv. Spotty wifi. Enjoyed the view, wildlife, river and hammock. Walking distance to town or hiking trails. Games to borrow from the lodge. Can't wait to go back next year.
